For years I've been listening to Ukrainian music, this song in particular, dancing around with my heart filled with joy. Now it's bringing immense sorrow and tears.

I went blindly to them on live concert, never heard a song by Dakha before....hearing this live and for the first time was the best experience in long time...after all those covid shit and restrictions I felt alive again

I keep coming back here, this was my first encounter with DakhaBrakha and to my mind it's the best performance of Vesna I've seen, better than the album version by some way. How great it would be if the two KEXP sets were released as a CD.
Yeah that display is strong enough it became a Thing beyond the song. Maybe they had a really good time. Look how they smile at each other.
Agreed! This is my favourite Vesna recording and I would LOVE to be able to have a proper copy of it. In the meantime I’ll keep returning to RUclips to play this on repeat 💛🦜🌻🦅🌿🦉

this rhythm..is like galloping and feeling the wind on your face, up somewhere in the highlands through the friends: trees and the birds..
The vocals in this song are so short, but they never fail to give me chills. This song will never get old to me.

I understand the song. It starts slow, like the beginning of spring. The trees are just started to have buds show, and as it picks up until at last the colors and life of spring blooms forth.

Punk meets folk...love these guys so much. So much fun to watch and listen to. they relaly catch the sense of the polace. Superb!!!
I love how much fun Nina seems to have and Olenas Poker face. She is incredible beautiful....like this song. I love the bird noises they added to the live version! AMAZING!

There's always a big conflict in me on which of them four I prefer! They are all so talented, each one of them in a very unique, personal way

Man, KEXP really is something else. Imagine being able to hear so many different cultures 100 years ago. Hell, i live in a country next to these musicians yet i've never heard something remotely close to that. Thank you guys, great radio program!
