The mysticism of the East meets with the lyricism of the West in a brand new sound environment.
Soprano saxophone meets with the two most important instruments of Byzantine music , Oud and Kanun or as they say “the piano and guitar of the Orient”.
Three soloists who have collaborate with international artists like Lorreena mcKennitt , Nana Mouskouri , Vangelis Papathanasiou , Calexico , Shantel etc came together to create a new sound using the Oud , Kanun and Saxophone as the basic background in famous compositions like “Gnossiennes” (Erik Satie) , Lonnie’s Lament (John Coltrane) , Joconda (Manos Hadjidakis) , traditional covers and original compositions especially arranged for this line up.
