- A team of Chinese scientists claimed to have found a way to make submarines almost silent and ultrafast. Researchers at China's Harbin University said they have found a way to use lasers to propel submarines. The technology is called “underwater fibre laser-induced plasma detonation wave propulsion”. According to the scientists, submarines could be coated in a web of minuscule optical fibres that emit laser pulses. Watch the video to find out more.

Oh yes, typically governments do a press conference of all their top secret tech.
Japan founded this way back.
Looks like a pipe dream.
“Japanese researchers first proposed this sort of laser propulsion methodology 20 years ago, but for decades the technology has only been able to produce thrust powers of one-millionth of a newton thrust.”
“But Professor Andrew Higgins, who leads a team at McGill University developing laser propulsion technology for space travel, doesn't believe that lasers could be powerful enough to induce this "bubble" effect around torpedos, let alone submarines.”
Basically its laser propulsion to induce supercavitation. But supercavitation has been around since the cold war era. And NO it doesn't make subs silent its the opposite. It certainly makes them noiser. It would make sense on commercial or scientific subs maybe even on torpedoes but not on a military sub who wants to reamain undetected.
Impossible., Boiling water makes louder noise when lazer hit water
Hog wash
Sweden have stealth submarine Gotland-class with diesel-powered engine that is quiet, vibration-free, and without any exhaust. swedish submarine was able to sank a US supercarrier in a war game In 2005.
Congratulations China 💪💪💪💪💪
wouldnt pulsing all that water and vaporizing it be detectable
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
6 no facão
Will it help them avoid becoming snagged in their own seabed defenses?
Chinese submarine speeding like torpedo 👍
Nuclear submarines can be made to do it.. Mass(fuel) is converted into energy..
Only the genius "real genius" can do the math problem unlike others that still farway down trying to become on of them is still in extremely introuble😂
Not interested at all...
Long live China
It’s like Iran claim to their stealth jet
@@Hmonks china is not iran
My gluteus maximus
I’m sure that would have severe environmental impact
China always make a joke with their tech claim 😅
The people's Republic of China need to keep quiet about thier technology. Brics+👍
Paper Tiger just in PAPER vs REALITY
The west said the same on electric vehicles and now u are crying foul😂 gullible people
@@user-cq5on3ln7g You forget its TESLA who first built electric cars for the masses. And its also the west that first got to use them.
If China says it, must be true?
It feel like someone is totally desperate for attention, "Scientific Paper Click Bait".
Americans: chinese stole this tech from us via Tiktok!
Where the chinese steal this technology?
learn chinese 😂 w p
They didn't steal it..they refine..The Japanese proposrd this idea decades ago but left out because the technology that time cant produce much of newton.....but we need too see if this is true in up coming war at the pacific

FAKE NEWS😂😂😂
For usa
China❤iran❤russia
India supplies this technology to China
India uses Hanuman antareja Rama power and transfers this method to China
What a bunch of bullshit.
