- Coefficient of restitution: What is it? How is it related to the general bounciness of balls and other objects? Here's a quick, simple and basic explanation of the coefficient of restitution for kids and laymen.
Basketballs bounce a lot, but plastic balls don’t. Some objects are inherently bouncier than others. Why is that so? The answer lies in a property of the material which is known as the coefficient of restitution. The coefficient of restitution of a racquetball shall be different from the coefficient of restitution of a tennis ball. In this video, we give a layman explanation of what the coefficient of restitution is, and how does it make stuff bouncy.

This is how this concept should be taught rather than mathematical expressions.

Awesome as always😘😍 u deserve much more suscribers
This is the best video on this topic... perfectly explained.
Glad you think so!
Quality is present as always up!Keep more coming!
Great explanation =)
Love this channel keep up the good work
Well the thing you said about elasticity...hope you told that in laymans term because in physics steel is more elastic than rubber (going by the definitoin of elasticity). Other than that good job .😊
Really useful!
I used the explanations in this video to teach my students at a Dynamics class! thanks
Excellent!
Impressive.....
Wonderful video 🎉
Wow .. thank you ☺️☺️
thank you
Show how much Moventum going to reduce after impact
🔥🔥🔥💯🙌
Energy losses after every impact
Calculate it
Ask the guy behind the counter what the balls' coefficients of restitution are.
Ah ha ha
