Surely he wasn’t getting much stone due to integer overflow. (Getting so much the number flips back to negative or 0) maybe remove lighthouses until you get a ton, it’s the same with the sand from a few videos ago
The game definitley can deal with crazy big stacks of items. Now you might argue that the overflow only applies to drops, not to stacks - but considering he was able to get to QN and whatnot of sand, this doesn't sound like a number you can just add up with stacks worth only millions.
My viewership began as any other, simply enjoying the way you say Lighthouses... But then, I very quickly realized that I just really like the way you say everything and anything.
Hey DF there is an easier way to do this. If you didn't notice before, breaking a building near a lighthouse can actually give you more items compared to how much it cost to put down. It's kind of a bug, but it counts as a drop, which can be multiplied by the lighthouses. All you really gotta do is build as many furnaces as possible, then with the last bit of money build one in the center of a million light houses. Breaking it should give you tons to build plenty more furnaces. rinse and repeat. You can pair that with the refund glitch to have it going faster as well. Additionally if you did want to go the mining route, the biome does matter. Stones from the hell biome are significantly tougher, but drop significantly more stone and other resources. In fact literally every other biome besides the first one would have been better since they all ramp up to bigger and bigger drops
Love your videos! Wanted to let you know that the land won't be destroyed if 1) there is a bug/fairy on or over it, 2) you're a bit too close to it or 3) a bridge is attached to it! I think the lighthouses might "tick" their bonus onto nearby resources, so that if you break them too quickly they don't get the bonus from every lighthouse. it seemed like if I left them and came back, any resources that were there would be massively duplicated, but if I, say, grew trees or crops underneath and immediately broke them, there was no or almost no bonus from piles of lighthouses.
I just found out that they’re releasing this on Switch. It looks different, but I’m still exited. It says that the release date is 2019. No month/day. This was on the official Nintendo website.
Since you are still struggling destroying land : land cannot be destroyed IF there is an entity above your cursor (droids, item, the 2 things floating around you) OR IF the land is adjacent to a bridge (maybe it's any building, never tried). Aka, destroy bridges before destroying land and destroy land under your character (otherwise your 2 thingy get in the way) (and get rid of the droids, you can't control their movement and they all fly to pick the land you destroy)
I think you were on the right track with the scrolls but you limited the amount of space that rocks could spawn. Maybe fewer light houses and a bit more land would help
You forgot to put this in the forager playlist by the way Edit:not criticism I love it channel just wanted everyone else to be Abel to find it easily in the future
You could go to the demons and place there you light houses because there are much bigger stones that will give you much more Resources and then you could make much more furnaces In 12:40 you also say you want a super rock
You might succeed with this. There is a duplication glitch where u destroy a vault, get the items and quickly die then exit game. If done correctly you duplicate the vault when u enter the game
In a way I'm glad you weren't able to fill the whole map with furnaces, imagine filling every single one of them, removing all the things you have placed, fill all the water tiles, break all the needless obstacles, the patience to withstand all that must be divine, and I'd feel anxiety to know someone spent so much time and effort on doing so, lol.
Ok, let me just math this: (TL;DR: Need ~1e105 stone, getting it with shrine method will take an estimated 6 hours) You started with "?" furnaces, added 13 more and the price increased by a factor of exactly 1.15^13. So every furnace you build increases the cost of the next one by 15%. You said you could build 42 furnaces per row. So 42*42 in total = 42*42 = 1764 Let's say an even 1700 to account for spots you cannot build on. 245 * 1.15^1700 = a gigantic number. We are talking so big, we can just ignore summing up all the costs. It is ~106 digits long. Thats a 1 with 105 zeroes. So to build those 1700 furnaces you really need a shit ton of stone. A little more than a 1 with 105 zeroes in fact. Really the only way to do is would be the "build stuff with building shrine, wait for shrine to expire, destroy it" method. This way you can build an extra 15% more furnaces each time. If you start with your 42+42+10 = 94 furnaces, you would reach 1700 furnaces after about 21 iterations of this. This is of course under the assumption you actually manage to build 1000+ furnaces in 5 minutes. If you don't you would need a few more iterations, though not much more. If you only manage to build, say, 200 per 5 minute shrine, you will only gain additional 30 furnaces per iteration. Which would increase the number of iterations to about 70. In this worst case scenario, you would be done after a little more than 6 hours. PS: Filling 1700 furnaces with a maximum of 999 each also means you also have to be fast to fill them or else the first one will be finished before you even reach the last one ;)
might be worth just to set up quarrys on each plot of land surrounded on the outskirts of those plots with light houses and use mining rods to harvest the resources. leave it on for a day and see how much you get from there. trusting the lighthouses to get you a lot within a few minutes is alright, but i don’t think its the right approach to getting the stone you need for the project. of course doubt it would get ya enough within a day.
There are actually at least two duping glitches. I think you are thinking of the one with the spikes where you die too soon for the game to properly record the inventory changes. There's another one where crafting something when you have the item in both a vault and your inventory will check both to determine your ability to make it but only consume from one (so you can start crafting 999 ingots and then break the furnace to almost double what you put in).
the bug with not beeing able to destroy some land is because of the bridges. If you dostroy all bridges WITH A PICKAXE!!! you can easily destroy the land afterwards.

*@DangerouslyFunny* There are MANY tricks ing games that exists to save CPU power, so it can be used on more important things. A trick in all optimized games is to not process anything outside of the screen, to save CPU performance. So at best you could probably only fill up the screen & run those furnaces for "maximum lag" (which probably is negligible since each furnace is basically just a simple counter & a computer can make billions of calculations each second & have specific HARDWARE circuits for increasing numbers). For furnaces outside the screen, they probably store the exact time when it left the screen & the processing speed of the furnace, then the next time it enters the screen, they simply compare the current time to the stored time & multiply the work-speed to figure out how much resources was generated. And if you trigger a "work faster"-thingy, they probably go through all furnaces, calculate their current generated resources, then update the work speed & saved time-stamp, and keep on waiting for the furnace to enter the screen or the "work faster"-thing to end & do the "update work-speed process" again, whichever happens first.
@@EpsilonRosePersonal That's not what I said. I said the game (probably) doesn't process the furnaces off-screen, so if you could somehow "ghost" outside your screen, then you would see that they don't count, but because you HAVE to bring the furnaces inside the screen-area, they will update & "pretend" that they have counted all this time.
@@sebbes333 Right, but my statement was more of a simple way to test that. If you can get resources from furnaces that are off screen, then the game is probably doing some level of processing for them. If you can't, then it becomes more likely that it's just completely unloading them.
@@EpsilonRosePersonal Ok, but how are you going to get resources from them without looking at them or otherwise update them? Just opening their inventory (through code or something) can trigger the update. This closely resembles something that is called: _Occlusion Culling_ (or: _Texture Culling_ or: _Z-culling_ ) that is used in most optimized (3D) games (Look it up if you want to learn more about it), it's a way to remove pieces of the map that are hidden behind other (non-transparent) objects, to improve performance. This is basically the same thing, but since it's 2D they remove stuff outside the screen instead.
The way I fix ground tiles not breaking is by frantically moving side to side by the block you want to remove or back and forth whilst you keep trying to remove it it usually fixes in a few seconds for me.

I suggest to make more huge lighthouse farms to mine more stone. Then use more furnaces to make more ingredients for lighthouses. If it's not the furnace that breaks the game. Then the light houses will. What would the ratio of lighthouses to furnaces would be?
Wasnt the main issue here that you only spawned rocks with ressources with the mining scroll? Arent there pure stone rocks that you can mine? It wasnt really possible to see what you spawned on your 3x3 field there. Other then this, you could build the lighthouses next to graveyards as these give pure stone and therefore it should work.
The problem with removing land has something to do with the bridges. If the game thinks there will be a bridge left 'floating' it'll block you from breaking it. You have to break the bridges then the land. At least in my experience.
I could calculate how much stone you'd need on max lvl and half price but nah. The formula for stone cost of regular furnace without perks = 8.7*1.15^[number of furnaces built +1] so you could calculate with a geometric series but I don't know how many spots there are on the map for furnaces
@@Soken50 Then I guess the number of stone needed without perks would be roughly equal to 8.7*1.15*(1-1.15^[42^2])/(1-1.15)=7.9x10^108 for which I don't even know how that would or could be stored ingame
POSIT: why didnt you switch to other factory types? you could have done the dye table , the windmill , etc. Im sure there is enough to cover quite a sizeable portion of the map!
Um, destroy all your furnaces every time you run out of stone, find a half-price shrine, and rebuild. That should double your net worth in stone every time.
