    @3:50 you mentioned that we don't wanna see you put the car together and that we just wanna hear it run. I wanted to tell ya that I used your motor swap video and a few other past ones as a guide for when I did my swap and the footage was extremely helpful! Car sounds awesome and I'm glad it's back together!

    these cars have such a mild cam profile stock. i wish more people put wild cams on these cars. the rod to stroke ratio of these 2.0 ecoboost engines are so high. you'd have to destroke a 4g63 to get it to what a 2l ecoboost's rod to stroke ratio is. so the bottom end wants to rev. problem is the cam profile and the turbo is so small so it kills the top end

    I have a quick question may be dumb but I was curious if you’ve replaced the valve springs in the motor and if you have if there was a special tool you used to compress the springs to get them out?

    What exhaust are you running... Is it Agency Power or Custom?
    The car sounds AMAZING!!!!!! I'm looking for a block to build over the winter... Is the 2.0L out of the '15 Ford Escape the same, they go for pretty cheap?

    • @tbr.performance
      @tbr.performance  4 года назад +3

      bacchus thompson
      I would highly recommend sourcing a Focus ST engine just because there are slight differences between some of the 2.0L ecoboost engines through the lineup. As far as exhaust goes, it’s an agency power 3” catback but the original resonator was replaced with a vibrant super silent resonator and a 16” mbrb resonator paired with a 3” catless dp.

    I blew the head gasket on my Mustang ecoboost 2.3L. I am going to be doing the work myself, however i don't know much about the ecoboost engine. What head gasket do you recommend? I was looking at the Brian Crower, or JE. Any thing else you recommend i should do while im doing this? I have experience, just with Honda Kseries/Bseries. I am looking forward to pulling this engine to be honest :-) One of the main reason i bought this car, it is RWD and there is tons of room in the engine bay.

    Your not supposed to torque down the head studs
    And check out ravenol 5w 50 RRS oil ravenol is the best!! Nürnberg tested, Ralf shumacher and many race teams use this oil. And it’s super well priced!

    • @tbr.performance

    • @tbr.performance
      @tbr.performance  4 года назад +1

      It’s pretty simple. I would suggest removing the lower radiator hose or using the radiator petcock to drain the coolant, and then refill as needed.

      @okaythen001 4 года назад

      @@tbr.performance To burp it just leave reservoir cap off, turn on the car but how long? Will doing just drain and refill (no flushing) leave some old OEM coolant in the system, because I am going to use dexcool AF888, will 2 diff coolant get mixed in or OEM coolant only got very little left and no need to worry. Well, that’s pretty much the only way to drain all the coolant unless you disconnect the coolant line for the turbo that connects to the block and drain it that way. Those are the only 2 ways I know of draining all the coolant.
