Guthrie Govan is nothing against me

Since Guthrie Govan has been one of my biggest musical influences lately, I decided to dedicate a video relevant to him.
Having realised that his song 'Waves' has been my favourite song for years now, I thought that the addition of my personal touch on the piece would be interesting to hear.
Therefore, I replaced the main guitar riff/solo of the piece with a personal improvised guitar solo.
What are your thoughts guys, Does this fit smoothly in the piece?
