so good to see you both in good spirits and ready to race
Great video as always! Nice to see a little bit of Jenna's training again. Good luck in Oceanside :)
She did great at Oceanside!! Eeek hope you didn't hurt your ankle at the end there. So excited to watch the event and make sure to follow your progress. Thanks for all the motivation :)
Ankle is totally fine (ego is slightly bruised haha). Thank you!!
Good luck at Oceanside! Go Jenna, congrats on the Big Day. Great video Miguel, I hope they keep coming.
AAAAH congrats on oceanside!!!! you crushed it. super inspiring to see you come back better than ever after last year AND covid
Good luck out there Jenna!! You’ve got this!
Great job today Jenna, you killed it!
Will be following the race on the tracker that’s for sure
goodluck with your race Jenna! 🦾🦿
Great video
Way to rock it yesterday Jenna!! Whoop whoop
The most grounded I have seen you in my opinion. Your head seems to have come out of the tumble dryer. Top notch performance, you deserve it!
You’re not wrong
Congratulations Jenna
Funny that you mentioned in your comments at the end about changing the laces out in your shoes. While watching the video, as soon as you were putting your running shoes on, my first thought was "why don't you have speed laces in your shoes?"
At 1:44, Miguel and I were thinking the exact same thought!
Great job at Oceanside Jenna!! You’re inspiring!
as someone who is new to the 70.3 distance and didn’t take in enough nutrition during my race, I’m curious how many carbs u take during your 56mile bike? And on the run?
We’ll be covering that in detail in the next video! but roughly 75g/hr on the bike and about 60g/hr on the run
Hot kit!
BIG DAY OATS !
When I do my 20 minute FTP test inside on my trainer, should I be riding exclusively in the aero position or can I be in any position I feel comfortable? A lot of time I feel better and stronger when I'm out of the saddle.
Typically it’s best to stay in aero because that’s going to be where you want to stay the whole time. For a race when you’re basing your power off percentage of FTP, you want it to be FTP in aero! That’s what I’ve always heard
@@danielgibbs514 Okay, that's what I thought. I need to work on generating power in the aero position. Thanks, Daniel.
Depends if you're testing all out power or power in TT position. If you only ride TT then probably makes sense to test in TT but if you do more riding out of TT then your zones will need to be adjusted. Typically you can hold less power in TT but overall is more efficient. Certainly I'd say it's uncommon to do a majority of road training in TT simply because unless you're blessed with awesome roads its too freakin dangerous.
4:46 is decent Jenna, I couldn't get close to any of ur splits 🤘
our Jenna...the best "ride" in all TRi world...what a fantastic Future she has behing her.
Do you guys do any coaching??
Nope, but we’re part of Working Triathlete, a coaching group/team that has some of the best coaches out there! Jenna’s coached by Conrad Goeringer
