Watched twice just to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Love the pop of color with the Quinacridone Gold. It WAS a good paint day, Denise. A big ol’ hug to you,🤗.
So fun Denise! I agree with you about the hand made papers….they’re art by themselves….but if the back is “boring” I think it is a good idea to do something on a different paper and glue that piece to the “boring” backside. I love these mindful video series!
Definitely going to evaluate those when I get further and see if I want to add bits on top of those pretty papers - or in the backside. I think the back of some of those will need something. 🤗
It was easier to visualize things in my mind with photography - every time I got where I had planned to go… with the art… I’ve let go of that expectation and sometimes we get there… and sometimes we don’t … I’m always a bit surprised where a piece ends up! 😂 Thank you! 🤗🤗🤗
You use really wonderful colours, I especially love the orange and it's better than the colour on the swatch... Good to choose your own colours in the midst of the process.
Thank you for showing and explaining the difference between hot press the hot press page and a previous cold press page. The Quinacridone Gold became a focal point. Then you worked it into the eye movement you wanted, which toned down the color. I enjoy listening to your thoughts as the piece progresses. A couple of weeks ago, I saw the Zig Acrylic Liner available again on your artist page at Sketchbox. I snapped up the box it was in. Somehow I lost my first one.
They have those past boxes on sale now for their Black Friday sale for $15… that’s a good deal on those boxes. So glad you enjoyed this one! Thank you! 🥰
Hey Denise do you have a tip for getting the gold ink into the fine liner? I do get so excited when I get notified of a new post from you! Cause I know I'm going to like it & be inspired by it.
I use a pipette. Easy to just suck some ink into pipette and discharge it in the fineline bottle. You could also use a little funnel - but that is messier I think. Thank you! 🥰
straight ink in the fineliner, or did u water it down a tad to make the flow easier? thanks in advance for replying. I LOVE almost everything you present -- along with your enthusiasm & encouragement!
thanks - I hate wasting things via trial & error. thanks to your quick response, now I don't have to! ;-) [ but i DO have to be patient a few days for my Fineliner applicators to arrive]. Thanks again, for all you demo, & for all your details & encouragement.
The Quinacridone Deep Gold was just exactly the bright note this piece needed. Like lemon juice on salmon, it just made everything more yummy.
It really did make the best pop of color!! Thank you! 🥰

@2lilowlsstudio oh my gosh I can't believe I didn't think of that!!! 😂 thank you!

@@timh7246Thank you! 🥰 I did not water the ink down. The spout lets the ink flow pretty fast, so too thin might be totally uncontrollable. 😊

What are the art palettes? I didn’t seem to see them in the list of supplies😊
