It’s so interesting to me how many places are named after St.Petersburg

Having commercial fished SEAlaska I remembered my cousin stating that the amount of fish caught was down and he thought it was to control price. I remember fishing humpy or pink in Wrangell which was said to be two years old. I dont know why but I started to wonder why the pinks were fished after just two years and came upon a thought, what if that wasnt sslmon but instead lynn cod or halibut. We had a freighter go thru our net out of glacier bay and I wondered if it could be fishing the salmon because the halibut was gone from the bering sea. Perhaps a russian freighter unloading in petersburg znd making the loop again . The freighter brought us a great white and an orca.

To the russian freighter that moves up from the queen charlotte straights thru the lynn canal and back around . I can recall fishing for humpy or pink salmon out of wrangell. Ak. The pink are said to be a two year old salmon but I believe they are Halibut or lynn cod which are found im the artic sea. Seems there has been a mistake.
