  • I go to sekiu washington and rent a boat from van riper's resort. The boat cost $175 to rent for the day. There are half day rentals but I don't know how much they cost. I caught a variety of species but the best were 2 lingcod. I also caught black rockfish, kelp greenling, rock sole, and more.
    For location venmo $5 to @peelingline. Put van riper lingcod in the what's it for. I'll reply with the location.

    Hes peeling line! Just like your channel name 🤣Giant lingcod you caught! Ive caught a lingcod that had a blueish mouth too. I wonder what that strange color means. I thought about getting a home depot bucket for fishing but my catches are not as big as yours LOL You took the boat rental beyond the boundary, but benefitted with a great day of fishing, Brett❗️

    Copper rock fish is awesome looking and the quill back. Cool underwater release of the rock sole. What a beautiful lingcod!!! Cool with the blue tongue/mouth. I caught a chain pickerel like that one. The inside of his mouth , his gill plates and bottom fins were blue. That 2nd one you got was a beast 💪🏻 Black rockfish nice looking. Love seeing all these fish u get. I know I’ve said it before but they are just all really unique looking. Great video and catching Brett!!!

      I almost had one last week when I was trolling for kings in area 10. It popped off right at the boat. It wasn't as big as these but still would be keeper if in season.

      Thanks. I am not sure about getting a boat. I keep going back and forth on getting one. It's a lot of time and money to have my own. I like the convenience of just using a boat and not having to do any of the stuff that goes along with owning one. But, there are drawbacks like not being able to use one everywhere I'd like to fish and not having better equipment. We'll see.

      @PeelingLine  Год назад

      Thanks. I would normally keep them. They are my favorite even more than lings. But I already had a lot of meat. I don't want any going to waste. It was also on the smaller size for the area. Last year I got bigger ones from that area.

    Finally some fish actually peeling some line! haha great variety of species and some of your best lingcods on that day. You said you didn't catch anything new. What species are there that you still haven't caught?

    • @PeelingLine
      @PeelingLine  Год назад

      Thanks. The fish you can keep, that I have never caught, are yellowtail, deacon, blue and widow rockfish and cabezon. There are too man fish to list that you can't keep. I will be busy for years collecting them all.

    • @lesstalkmorefishing1000
      @lesstalkmorefishing1000 Год назад +1

      @@PeelingLine Wow there are still a lot of new species to catch then! Guess you've already caught all the common ones then. Now only the rare and hard remain?

    • @PeelingLine
      @PeelingLine  Год назад

      @@lesstalkmorefishing1000 Fortunately, there are lots of common ones left. I have yet to catch them though. All those ones I listed are common. They wouldn't let you keep them otherwise. It's more the techniques. For instance yellow tail rockfish are a suspended fish people mostly catch trolling or jigging. But they are only in certain areas.

    • @PeelingLine
      @PeelingLine  Год назад

      The gas was included in the price. But a kicker motor can go all day on hardly any.

    Hi nice video. Where can I find some flounders in sekiu?

    • @PeelingLine
      @PeelingLine  Год назад

      Clallam bay has quite a few in the sandy areas especially on the east side. I also get them in 100 -120 feet of water with sandy bottoms. Good chance for halibut in the latter too.
