I grew up and still live near Grafenrheinfeld. I have also played this piece twice with orchestras.
It tells the story of my region. The part where the whole orchestra sings always gives me chills.

My Highschool band is currently playing this, and I'd just like to say that this is genius! It captures the feel of war, depression, and despair really well! Even without knowing what its about it still sounds very good. This definitely will be a song I'll remember long into adulthood.
