I never knew the Perth Mint uses leftover blanks for the 1oz silver bars. These bars do not come with an assay card like the fractional gram or full oz of gold bars so i'm assuming those are regular production bars while only the silver bars are made from leftover blanks.
@@dleetr Haha maybe! Certainly above my pay grade. I'm just surprised they're struggling with coins that would have been coming out under this years release cycle (like the superpit) I can understand some delay on ones that should end up featuring King Charles (like the lunar dragon) but I'm still surprised by the superpit and any others held up!
@@BullionNow Maybe certain regulations which occurred in recent years, are finally filtering through to unplanned staff absences. /sorry, also above your pay grade to comment on. lol.
These kangaroo 1oz silver bars Need to be a standard line Perth Mint. Some people need these to melt cause you can't melt the other products . I collect these and also use for my metal smithing as a big kilo bar or other sizes are just too much for the project on hand. On a good note my kids all bought one of these with their first pay packet and treasure them . I just love them. How about tooling up for 3,5,10 ,20 and kilo minted bars if this design I will buy
@@tslee8236 old habits I guess. Although some times I used to let someone buy the 1oz roo bar or 2 and let them or myself alloy it up for the silver project. Bigger bars yep shot production. But buy it the premium is too high. But I do like this bar until that melt day

These can't be handed in to a bank like a coin could (although typically the face value on coins is so low you never would) and you're allowed to legally melt these! (as you're not allowed to deface legal tender)
These are some of the lowest premiums you can get out of Perth for an individual ounce. If you're chasing lower I'd recommend looking at some of the larger bars we get through which have premiums closer to spot.
If you sell privately you can recoup your costs easily. These are also easier to liquidate in smaller amounts, or to use for bartering goods and services. Buy these for the long term. Short term gold prob has better roi.
Oh no!! That always seems to be the way with these things, guessing it was a previous year one from the second-hand market? The good (and bad thing) about these guys is that they don't specify a year on them either!

Forgot to mention that these bars come in tubes of 20! (unlike the kangaroo coins being 25)
These are great!
Nice. Maybe Treasury is waiting for a certain referendum, so they can sneak in an entirely different sovereign on the obverse than anyone expected.

If you only buy a couple of them, will there be some capsules available for them?

Absolutely agree! They're always very popular for the brief time of year they're produced so it'd be great to see some different varieties!
Silver granules, bought or home made, may be a better option for your application. You can also get 1/2oz and 1oz bars from other mints.

You need to communicate to them to make it in a 10 oz version.
We can certainly tell them we think it'd be a good one to try! Sadly it's not usually enough to convince them to make it happen but you never know!
Good looking coin! Any update on what happened on the Queens virtues 5oz silver coins? Seems as if only 2 of the series made it thusfar.
Love them 🥰 need some 😜 when are they available ?
Yeah like em
Good that they become available again, no need to overpay on past premium 😊
I bought these bars a few years ago. When was the last time they were minted?
What is the long term outcome of owning bars against round coins please
Like them but prefer stuff with a date stamp, just my preference 😇
When you say that they're not legal tender, what are the implications of that when compared with the coin version?
Not backed by Aussie Government and can't be used for its face value as it doesn't have one.

Nice one
Nice!

Still waiting for the 5oz Desert Scorpion....
Is that chocolate coated sultanas? I thought they all disappeared into someone’s belly? 😂😂😂😂😂
This lot have been sealed away in a BN Star Jar to ONLY be used as a prop. Any others not earmarked for that purpose seem to have disappeared.
@@BullionNow 😂😂😂😂😂 I wonder where 😂😂😂😂😂
I will buy if there is some left.
Over 4000 at a sweet price too

There is for now!
Still over enough after I grabbed a few.
really want it but at 15% premium i really wonder if it's worth it as an investment?

No effigy of lizzy or useless Charles = big win....
😂 so what you're saying is if I had a held out one more business day I'd have saved myself $25
Thats how it goes

@@BullionNow no I bought about 30-35 Oz off of you guys on Friday in kangaroo coins, I would happily have bought bars but that's how it goes.
Not a coin BN😊

Biggest waste of money, worth $00.31c a gram and they charge $60 for a bar lol rip off
I'm not sure you know how significant figures work lol
They're charging $41 a bar what are you smoking 😂
