I just came across your video, I assume you are behind the camera and these are your 2 kids? 😊 The way was relatively safe? I am an experienced hiker but just being prepared so I know what to expect.
You are right, I was the cameraman and my kids were the actors🙂. The trail through the tunnel to Limmerensee, which is the way we went up, is a safe one but a steep climb. However, certain sections of hiking down the other side were relatively difficult and a bit sketchy especially towards the end of hike, but doable.
We were walking, but after about a kilometer a nice woman stopped by with a car and offered to take us both to the cable car. We walked all the way back, but that's it was easy.The cable car is self service.

How to get from linthal to Tierfehd? If no car, walk only? It seems no bus.

I went there with my car. I don't think there is a bus available. If you have a car, that would be the easiest option.
