You have to remember George had the prequels envisioned while he was doing episode 4,5 and 6 he just needed the technology required for it so as soon as CGI was popular through toy story which Lucas himself was involved in he could finally use that technology to make the prequels should he have waited yes, but George was really ambitious about the prequels and it's why he chose to go down the CGI path for the prequels that he didn't do for the originals especially the lightsaber fights and Yoda fighting
Just like Revenge of the Sith where you see the collapse of industry and a Republic. Oh wait, that's in those damn Prequels. He can create his films however he wants. He doesn't owe anyone anything.

With all of the societal problems we have why is it ok for the top 1 percent of the usa population to have more wealth than the bottom 99 percent combined? Jesus taught against people having too much while the majority suffers. I like star wars but being filthy rich is disgusting to me. The working poor and disabled people have it the hardest. We should have laws that prevent people from owning way more than they need, and use the freed up wealth to benefit the people who need it.

But regardless, he offered ideas to the marketplace that people responded to and was rewarded for that. These 1% and 99% issues you’re talking about have to do with the central banking system, which is quite literally slavery, wiping out the working class for decades by transferring wealth via inflation and debt. I think it depends on the industry. I don’t think it’s fair in the pharmaceutical or medical insurance industry for example, where people get rich of somebody else’s misery. Entertainment is different you get rich off of people enjoying your work.
