One of the most prolific movers and shakers of the German house movement makes his long awaited return. DJ Tonka the veteran DJ and producer launches his brand new label Tonka Tunes - aiming to release fresh, as well as remastered older material that has never been available digitally.
The label's first missive comes in the form of the dance floor rattling track named "We Don't Play". The track is built on a funky drums and bassline combo that recall classic, shuffling US house. Key to it all, though, is the added roughness that comes from the lush vocals and snippets as they bend and stretch over the oh so lovely organ lead.
A fine debut release that suggest great things are ahead for DJ Tonka and his new Tonka Tunes imprint.
