Have guessed Kimi would top this list after you posted the video of drivers with most 2nd places, simple calculation from his total number of podiums, wins, and 2nd places. Great video and interesting stats as always! How about making championship standings based on qualifying results? Don't know whether it'll be interesting enough tho
love how Barrichello and Bottas have the same score again... they have basically the same carreer :) ...also hope Alonso and Vettel add up some third places this season :)
reutemann was kimi before kimi. Perpetual podium earner either outperforming midfield cars or underperforming in top cars. Except kimi managed to care enough 1 year in a good car and won.
Hi, I am using Flourish - you can check that online. But it would be also possible to be done for example in Tableau or if you have skills in Python directly. It it also smooth thanks to the fact that data is by race not per year so it looks much better :)
Lewis is insane. Not only does he have most wins, most podiums, and a win in every season, but he also has a 2nd in every season other than 2011 and 2012, and a 3rd in every season besides 2010, 2011, and 2017. Nuts.
Alonso fourth having driven Minardi 2001, Renault (2003-04, 2008-09), Ferrari 2014, McLaren (2015-18) and Alpine 2021. 11 Years with cars that were not for podiums except a couple of races like in 2003 or 2008. This is why I consider him a beast, I wish this never happen to Max, Charles or George. The waste of talent is so sad 😭
Agree.. I love Alonso, he made me to watch this sport since 2004 when he caught my eye.. It's really painful to think what he could have achieved if he had made the right decisions..
Renault in 2003, 2004 and 2008 was easily good enough for occasional podiums. But even if you discount them, that's still seven full years of cars he should always be fighting for podiums with. That's more than Barrichello had, who is almost on par with him in this list.
It would be great for Lewis to beat Kimi in this category. Then he would have the record for the most 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Not sure he'd want it though
Do a "most world championships when you remove the dominant team" video. So who would have the most wdc if the likes of Mercedes were gone from most of the seasons since 2014. Last season you'd leave Mercedes because it was closely contested. There was no dominant team but all the seasons where the wdc was always going to be in that dominant team.
King of III: kImI raIkkonen The real story here is Berger and Reutemann, great drivers who never had the right car. Webber, Coulthard and Barrichello were always second bananas, they're only on the list because of the car and longevity.
Berger never had the right car? He was only Senna's wingman in 1990/91. His Benettons and Ferraris in the 80s and 90s, while no championship winning material, were still good enough for regular podium appearances, too. I'm not surprised to see him high up in this list, considering the cars he drove.
I mean to beat kimi you basically need either a 2020 season or like seb 2015 where 1 Team dominate and the 2nd best Team having 1 of they drivers struggling with the car
Kimi: As long as you finish in P3 you can have the drink.
Love it! 🤣
Except in Abu dhabi or Monaco
No Kimi no, you will not have the drink.
I find it amusing how Barrichello and Bottas have equal amount of both 2nd and 3rd places. Best wingmen ever, I guess.
Unfortunately, rubens got 11 wins and valtteri got 10. They almost got exact numbers for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions. Blame james for this lol
And almost equal victories (11 vs 10). 😃
squires of hepracampeones
@@alexgaal1317 Does this mean that Alfa Romeo will pull out, Sauber will go under, the team will be bought out for £1 and then win both championships?
@@ObjectManiacJennifer27 yeah, Bottas will win one more race and Zhou will be the world champion
Bottas really equaled Barrichello, didn't he?
Barrichello: 11 wins, 29 second places, 28 third places, 0 championships
Bottas: 10 wins, 29 second places, 28 third places, 0 championships
which means he will win one more time at alfa romeo this year
Bottas will win a race at Alfa Romeo confirmed
@@pauluga3384 yes. Barrichello added two wins during his year at Brawn GP. Maybe Alfa will be Bottas' BrawnGP and give him the one more he needs

Finally Kimi is first in something other then most races
And I think he will still be there for a while, for most races Fernando will surely pass him in 2022
Alonso is always up there... He is such a consistent driver.
And he was 7 years without a podium. It´s insane
Sometimes I wonder how much Alonso would've achieved if he was in the Merc, Ferrari or RB instead of GP2 Engine
Also driven a lot of races
@@Rakettivuori but only 4 or 5 years with competitive Cars, Ferrari years he almost won 2 titles with a car that had no right to be fighting up there
@@bigguy8435 GOAT stats for sure
Fun fact:
Bottas and Rubens are tied for 3rd and 2nd places. And in wins, is 11 (bar) x 10 (bot).
The duel between wingman's is truly a great one
love how Barrichello and Bottas have the same score again... they have basically the same carreer :) ...also hope Alonso and Vettel add up some third places this season :)
Reutemann retired in 1982 and remained in the lead until 1996, when he was overtaken by Berger. Before it was more difficult to win or do podiums.
reutemann was kimi before kimi. Perpetual podium earner either outperforming midfield cars or underperforming in top cars. Except kimi managed to care enough 1 year in a good car and won.
Great video as always
Thanks!
So the Ferrari 2018 Lineup is the 3rd Lineup of all time!
I was sort of expecting Barrichello to stay on top till the end, but the way Kimi pulled away in his second Ferrari stint is just mad.
Good video!! Your channel is getting really big!
I was surprised to see Bottas so high but Verstappen not on the list at all
Thanks for support!
You forgot to add another one to Hamilton’s 31 for finishing 3rd on this list
Kimi how you feel that you have the most 3rd place finish ?
Kimi: " Bwoah"
2:43 kiwi domination lets go
amazing, that Stirling Moos had only 3 thirdplace finishes
All or nothing ;)
In which program do you create the graph? And also how does it change so smoothly

Fair play to Denny Hulme. Retired nearly 50 years ago & still joint 18th with Senna.
Would be interesting to see which driver finished the lowest avarage position
King Mazepin sadly.
@@basdevaal9370 at least Mazepin qualified and finished a Race. There are a lot of F1 drivers who tried quiet often but never actually qualified. :D

Not Nico Huelkenberg
Kimi - the daddy of 3rd place
Of course the guys who drove Ferrari from 2015 to 2018
BWOAH!
Kimi just wants to get to the podium and score good points while staying out of the main focus, that winner gets.
It took 29 3rd places to be in a situation where world champion was alone in the lead.
I thought Bottas would have been higher but Kimi had a lot of good cars but bad luck as well.
next time most DNFs please. keep up the good work
Thanks!
Kimi is the GOAT
🤣 shitkonen
moah
Alonso to lead this list at the end of this season. :d
Have you done most podiums not including wins

Coulthard literally had 3rd in his name 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Does Lewis get an Extra point for being 3rd on this list as well? lol
So it’s definite then Kimi is the third best driver of all time. Isn’t that how it goes? 😆
Bwoah
Bro.. most people don't wanna waste 13 minutes just to know who has the most 3rd places. Try and make length of tye video shorter.
