Io has the secret benefit of reducing the amount of crybaby rage from your cores. Even if the laning phase goes even or slightly lost, if you just show up to the midlane and tether regen them to full and then leave all of the sudden that guy is like "oh fk ya" and his mental state does a complete 180. Last time I played Io in pub I only used relocate twice in the whole game, once to punish a dive and once to save our offlaner from a botched initiation. Mid to low level MMR games don't need some amazing amount of coordination to pull this hero off, it just needs you to not position yourself to get absolutely blasted before the fight starts. My rule for picking him literally comes down to "do we have a bunch of tanky bois that won't die in 0.5 seconds"
Sure he's a great support that feels supportive, but he can't do anything on his own so if your teammates throw away leads then you'll lose the game 100%.
6k player from 8 years ago returning to dota that got recalibrated to low mmr after long hiatus. Tinker is still op as hell. I die inside every time my cores dont farm an easy wave pushing a sidelane(which i cant get to because i cant justify wasting my tp). With tinker that never happens. My stupid cores can stay in the jungle all game and we never lose efficiency. glimmer/defense matrix/lotus/solar combo with 90% uptime is INSANE.
6k wyvern spammer here, apologies in advance for yapping 3 & 4 are her strongest roles atm but she's not great against some of the popular heroes right now (puck, rubick, storm, sd) you can get a lot out of your dragon sight facet, been going treads > blink > pike in my pos 4 games. if you're lucky you can get grove bow / quiver too if you don't have heroes to make space in teamfights for whatever reason you can go arcanes > blink > glimmer and max W instead blueheart facet is best on 5 but please get blink before you build mek/locket finally, talk to your team to figure out who / when to curse. if they don't respond, just say who / when you might curse and cross your fingers TLDR: play sd or willow instead
the thing that youre missing about support tinker is that if your team is jungling you can easily and safely push out sidelanes. obviously it not optimal because you wont be taking over the map or proactively buffing your cores but he still has more and faster farming options than pretty much any support.
I really would like a pos. 4 video about Tusk. He was S-tier according to your vid and, despite many pro games end badly when a team picked Tusk, they insist. At some point, it cannot be a frustrated soft support move, looking for a melee hero with despair. There is something else behind this continuous unsuccessful pick. PS: I want a new melee support so badly, too.
I have a general theory that pos 5s are better as melee and pos 4s are better as ranged. Mainly because melee supports need the depth of the safe lane to be effective, that double melee offline are painful, and the need to be able to hit the enemy safelaner . Thoughts?
First glance without watching. Dawn breaker is my pos 4/5 pick every game if I don’t have anything better based on what my carry player is showing as their pick. Dawn/drow for example is the most busted enemy cannot even walk up to creep wave without going 100 to 0. Doesn’t matter if they’re ranged. Double kills for days. 4k of course. But hey. I suck and she’s been consistent for me.
Hey ZQ - have you ever experimented with Kunkka 4? I'm a big spammer and send it as a 4 and 5 in a stack, it feels super strong, rum is crazy and the level 20 talent to make it back up to 50% is just almost game breaking!
You need to know the game strategy most of all. Like what you're suppose do in each phase of the game or what each phase even is. In low ranks meta heroes and items don't matter as much as mid to high ranks.
Hello, I hope you are having some fun learning the game from scratch, it would take so much to learn things but I do hope you have the patience to learn.
I think you should copy Jenkins's method. Make the tier list first, then explain each hero as you go up. That way people can skip to the hero they know and don't have to watch 40 mins filled with theory craft of heroes that never get picked or aren't in people's own hero pool. Personally I won't watch this much aside from the end rankings because of that. I only watched Jenkins video at the point they hit A tier and above. People only want to know the relevant stuff, better to get some watch time than none at all
I prefer these longer, more detailed tierlists tbh. I think Jenkins does well in filling that niche for more to-the-point content, but I do appreciate how informative this video is in comparison. Although I agree timestamps would be nice for those unlike me
Silencer is my favourite support to play. Scales and has global presence. He can't do much early game though so the other support should be a strong support, someone like Rhasta. And you should really only pick him as a counter pick to a spell casting int heavy line up. I also like Necro support. Easy to farm and counters strength heroes easily. You can go the wombo combo with axe for the double execute.
As a guardian player is soft support a real role? I thought the game was 3 hardcarrys 1 soft carry and one "support" which means he leeches xp on the lane for a while and then goes afk jungle.
tried BH as a 4 and felt totally useless. He is good but you need to know how to play him because if your lane stage goes bad then he will do nothing in the game
Hiyo, 5.3k mmr veno spammer in na here. I strictly play facet 2 on veno and spend lots of time in the woods and currently sits on 6-1 I agree it's a bit of a sleeper build and I'm shocked the win rate is so trash. But there good news to me coz I'm sure it'll become op AF when the new patch drops 😊
what is the point of sorting heroes in tiers if then you gonna move them around cause they dont work? if you want to show meta AND what works in pubs just make two lists parallel to each other and discuss the top heroes this format is so confusing its unwatchable, I couldnt finish your pos 5 vid and i dont think i could finish this one
@Klimbo93 where is your tier list video?? the more valuable aspect of the list is the input he gives for each hero, it literally doesn't matter if he is moving them around ☠️☠️☠️

Garbage hero
Get ready to make that new tier list boy 😂 thanks for taking one for the team again
Nice to see these tier lists, Jenkins in shambles
ogre doesnt make the list but you include support tb, morph, invoker?
I find more success for him as 2/3

dude even he put invoker in last tier i stomp every game with qw invoker

Is Sven support still a thing?
never saw that anymore, but maybe? Heavy plate still exist but I guess people don't see too much value on sven support after the nerf
I'm new to the game and trying to learn. Emphasis on META is not always helpful.
Have to know the tactics first before META can be relevant.

No. BH is one of the strongest recovery heroes in the game. Learn the basics of how to play him, he's extremely rewarding.
