I remember seeing this in Charleston WV late July. It was INSANE live! Could this have been cleaner, yes -- but the intensity was insane. And just so the former G7 knows, we travelled 3 hours to see BAC!

WOWSA, full use of the entire field. I love creativity, and thinking out the box. Every organization needs a rebel to wake up the masses.

I learned about this show just a year or so ago and I love the bones that it took to pull it off. I kind of fell off interest wise with DCI in the teens as my friends whom I'd watch aged out and I was more into BOA/WGI but the past few years have really leaned in heavy. We usually do a yearly party for finals. Order the stream, drink, bbq and play darts and talk mad shit. It's very fun!
    This was a cool show.

BAC Alum (‘66 - ‘67) here…first, love what you all put out there! Your Animal Farm review was pretty spot on although you missed the formations that spelled BAC and G7. That show reflects our attitude of “…we will never die, for we are Crusaders…” or be put down for that matter…EVER. As you point out, the G7 crowd got it hopelessly wrong and two silver medals earned by Boston make the case just how wrong “Napoleon” got it. Thanks for highlighting BAC!

    A few comments:
Thanks for doing the review with full Drum Corps on the screen.
Was Gino Cipriani the Brass Head?
I remember seeing this show in Quincy Mass and wondering what the show was about. Thanks for making that clearer now.
    Keep the Great content coming.

Gino didn’t switch over to Boston until 2017, he was with the Cadets before that

I love this show but I have a gripe with it. I saw it on video before seeing it live that season and was hooked! I couldn't wait to see it live but I had the opposite reaction most have to seeing live vs video. I was bummed that they weren't as loud as the videos I watched had made them seem. I get all that dissonance is hard to tune and make project cuz of physics. Just bummed. Loved it either way.

Love the content of the Channel, including this series. Many nefarious actions from select Organizations, influencing DCI. Well done on this!

To me, most important was info that the kids CHOSE to do this show. Helps explain the commitment shown in all aspects of the performance. I suspect that still has relevance today (hint to staff prepping 2025).

It is my favorite BAC show. the percussion parts were sick. I still have my 2012 sweater I bought from them when they came West.

In 2025 they travel west again so you can buy another sweater 😊

On a side note; Your previous video showing Cadets, 2005 was blessedly outdoors, with stadium light shining on the field from the box area on the edge of the stadium (much like theater lighting from the back of the hall). I had forgotten how much that was a feature of the past times. This gruesome indoor field with the ever-present blistering white horseshoe helmet is lit mostly from above.

I kind of have to wonder too, if that little piece of, "William Tell," that Boston included that year is kind of maybe also a bit of perhaps an off-handed throwback to Carolina Crown's 2007 show, "Triple Crown," when they used that piece as part of that show that year, them being considered as one of the G-7 corps, and maybe even further back to one of my faves., The Bayonne Bridgemen who Never would have been taken seriously by DCI, and Never would have made, "G-7," status because of the types of, "Silly Shows," they used to present each year, which I consider Crown's use of William Tell, in '07, was something of a tribute to Bayonne, because Crown chose to bring out the, "Silly," in that show during The Bayonne Signature Piece.

I know this is potentially to be seen as a bit of controversy in and of itself, and probably somewhat off the mark, because I Know it Never would have happened, but it's kind of a shame that they couldn't have gotten somebody Really Awesome, like the late great James Earl Jones, or someone like that, with a huge commanding voice like that, to do the voice-over for that one quote.
