Thank you for sharing the bad stuff with us and showing what it is really like being on the road and living in a van. Are you following up more on the next episode more of the repair story? It would be really interesting to see how they fixed the floor and how it affected the floor covering inside the van. It was funny seeing you in my local Areas. Safe travels 😊
There isn’t too much ‘bad stuff’ but it’s def not all rainbows and butterflies all the time😂. We have a small update on todays video in regards to the repair but not as much as we originally hoped as plans changed once again…. Thanks for sending us a message and for watching 🙌
Always look forward to your videos, the trial and tribulations, and making the best of it. !! Good luck with the travels further into QLD, hope to see you up my way ! 🤠😎
Hey Andy, thank you, we love hearing that our videos are enjoyed 🙌😃👌. Yes there are certainly trials and tribulations, but you gota take the bad with the good! Thank you and we can't wait to get further up into Queensland... it has been what we've been looking forward to this year, so fingers crossed it doesn't disappoint. Thanks for watching and sending us a comment 👌
Thanks - we've had some interesting feedback on the hat so far... doesn't hurt to be a little different though ah?! Yip issues like this are annoying, but not much you can do except sort it out and get back to the adventure! Thanks for the comment and for watching 🙌
I lived in Surfers in 1973...74. It was great. Took our kids back there many years later when we were back in Australia. The whole street was converted to high-rise buildings. Bloody awful. When we go back now days we avoid the Gold Coast. You really do have to wonder about the repair jobs some caravan outfits do. We've been there, done that. Good to see you smiling your way through it though. 😊😊
Hey Dave, yes it is certainly overrun by high-rises along the beach front now! We prob would have just gone straight past if we still had the van, but given we needed an air bnb to start with, we thought it was a good place to hold up for a couple of days. Yes, it's hard to be mad when the people are generally kind and take it straight back, but we do just wish the job could be done right in the first place. Gota smile otherwise it would make us go insane hahah 👀😱 - Thanks for watching.
@@LBWAdventures You should have gone to the North Coast, much nicer, more variety in accomodation, less hi rise, better beaches. I lived in Bris for 20 years and watched the Gold Coast deteriorate to a tourist trap as the North Coast improved.
Hey Dean, yes I think that was the worst part. We understand things sometimes take longer than expected, but to have it leak worse that before we dropped it off after all that time being repaired was to say the least frustrating....! Thanks for watching 🙌😃
Hi guys. I know how you feel with a leaky caravan. Had the same problem, with our Windsor when we were in Aus. Both caravan and car were in for repairs on the same day. It was not a good feeling. Strange country, no home and no car. Took a few days to sort everything out and hit the road. Hopefully everything will be sorted and you can recommended traveling 🙏
Hey David, Ah sorry to hear you had to deal with a leaky van as well. Hopefully your car and van were repaired well and you got to carry on with your adventures! Yes fingers crossed we are fixed... but we are still awaiting a good downpour just to be sure. Thanks for watching and for messaging 🙌
Oh dear I've heard of wet patches in other places but not the kitchen floor what do you two get up to when the camera is off.I would have offered you acc but currently in SA at Kilbarri
It actually wasn't wet that caused our floor to sink, but a material that structurally failed. We really aren't any different off camera, our acting skills aren't that polished hahah, and the only thing we don't really film is us both glued behind a computer working which isn't very exciting .🤣
Hi @leonwilliams5175, fingers crossed you don't have any issues with your new van. To be fair, in comparison to some stories we've heard, we haven't had too many problems, still annoying buying a new van only to find the quality of the workmanship lets down what should be a great product. Thanks for watching 😃
Leon, Read my response, Windsor may have addressed the problem as that are aware of it , , Water proof wide Rhino tap on top edges will solve most leaks, It worked on my friends Windsor, I built my own van 15 yrs ago
I believe Apollo have applied that to ours after their fix as a back up measure so fingers crossed we are leak free… just waiting for it to rain properly to test it out!
Me also. I have a 7 hour drive to Perth to get it fixed if I have a problem. Since I have watched this video I have 3 confirmed reports of water leaks. Not good enough for a modern design. Might change brands before I part with my hard earned Dollars.
We also had a van with a soft floor. Can I asked how they dealt with fixing it? Ours was fixed by putting in heaps of nails and laying new vinyl. It never looked the same after that 😢
Oh that’s sounds a little weird fixing it with nails…? We had a new piece of floor added underneath. They lifted the vinyl inside so there are no joins from the top as we told them we didn’t want to see any cuts or patches on the floor inside the van. Apart from a silver aluminium strip now under the bathroom sliding door where they rejoined it all you can’t see any sign of a patch which we were happy about
I built my van 15 yrs ago, I'm aware of leaking problems with Windsor vans , my friends have a Windsor van, After 2 goes at trying to stop leaks , many weeks without van it still leaked, Buy yourself some rolls of quality water proof wide tap, Apply to all edges , That is mostly where the water enters the van, The type of seal they use is not good enough, This will work, Solved my friends leaks on their Windsor van , Same age as yours, It's cheap but works, Send me a message if you have any questions, Cheers Bevan from Sapphire Central Qld 🤠❤️🦘🦘🇦🇺
Hey Romeo, yes it seems that water leaks are common unfortunately, luckily the van is not made from wood. Yes I believe they have applied that tape to the top now as well on their second attempt, but it hasn’t rained since we left so we are still waiting for a downpour to know for sure if it’s sorted. 🤞🤞🤞 thanks for your suggestion and for watching 🙌

We will have to make sure on our next lap around that we stop and check out the north beaches as you suggested 🙌🙌🙌 2024 plan locked in 👌
Gee guys not good having it for that long and not fixed. its good that it rained so you found out before moving on .

You got my wife's attention when you said you had your alarm at for sex (kiwi accent,)
Oh hahahah Chris would have been happy if there was an alarm set for that 😂😂😂😂😜
