I got a cockatiel and it's the best decision I've ever made!

All those beautiful birds and sniffers...too sweet! Mine is a lutino Indian ringneck, rescued at 2. She's a sweetheart and bonded with me very nicely. I've had her almost 4 years.
I don't imagine they're very popular as pets in Florida anymore because of the flocks of them there due to the weather and escaped/abandoned IRPs. Mine talks a lot but it's not all clear. I have a little video of her. It's not a great clip but... I'm not a tuber. She's a love bug.
This video is actually just the evolution of Marlene's lipstick. XD So many birdies left there with her mark.

My husband and I have had several birds over the years. We started out with a captured escapee (zebra finch) for which we bought a mate. They raised several broods. (It is amazing that the baby birds have bright orangey yellow spots down the inside of their throats that are like the lights on a runway guiding a plane to land, which seem to show the parents where to put the food). Then we bought a green budgie at a St. Patrick’s Day sale and then later we got an African Gray. Then we got a Rosy Bourke. We enjoyed these birds for many years but sadly they gradually passed on to birdie heaven. We are now retired and became Snowbirds, so we cannot have pets due to relocating every winter to Florida. We stay in Deerfield Beach, Florida and visit The Golden Cockatoo every winter to get our “bird fix”. It is am amazing place and it is so tempting to get another bird but crossing the border from Canada could be an ordeal as a pet bird could be put in Quarantine (so stressful!) Also the frequency of bird smuggling from the US to Canada means that there could be problems at the border even if all paperwork is in order. So, we visit the birds at the Golden Cockatoo!

Yay, Marlene content with a Goffin! Not only the baby in this video, but the rescued Goffins at the parrot rescue :D. They really are high energy, mine needs lots of enrichment outside of the cage. Training sessions, tons of toys, multiple cages, lots of attention, etc.

My sister and her fiancé are in the background at 6:23-6:40 and they were looking at their future bird that they brought home two weeks after this was filmed and this is how I learned about this channel! She was told by the store owners about Marlene and then we all started watching your videos!

Because of you I want to go to California to see the wild parrots. I also want to go to Miami to see the wild macaws and the other parrots. I’ve only seen feral Quakers and cherry headed parakeets but I wanna see more!
Australia and Brazil for parrots not the USA
I lived in Miami for 23 years. I haven't been there for 10 . Things may have changed, however, the macaws are not wild. They belong to a man who has trained them to free fly. They come home to him nightly. ❤
I'm sure there is some wild ones now that have been released or that escaped. Like the snakes and lizards now in Florida.
I love seeing all the little cockatiels I will be getting another one Someday I just lost my rescue cockatiel of 7 years old he was about 17 years old

Well Miss Marlene, The cute little girl who made the card was a crazy cute fan girl! Now, I'm going to be honest here and admit that I watched one of your videos and said "how cute". And moved on. The next day another one came up as a suggestion so I checked it out this one and I am hooked!

I have a wonderful bird Chippy. He is a sun conure about 2 years.
I also have a whole bunch of chihuahua puppies that need to be adopted! They all interact with Chippy He can get them all whipped up so that they sound like a pack of coyotes! I call them my chihuawolves. So anyway i kind of need some help finding these wonderful puppies good homes and am very willing to travel to LA if needed. I love these little guy and already have 6 dogs so i cannot keep them. I love your show and especially Vinnie! He is the funniest bird I've ever seen and your translation is perfect! Keep up the new vids
