    another great and simple tip is, you don't need motivation to do workouts, to walk to be active. You need discipline. This means, to go for a workout when you don't want, when the weather is "bad" when you "don't feel so good" and also to find ways to incorporate the workout in your stressful day and not to skip them due to "i had to work".
    I always allow myself the 10min rule, so if i really don't like the workout after 10min in, i'm allowed to stop and go home/rest.
    Stopped twice in 4 years. (and ofcourse, if one is ill, no workouts and no extreme diet, BUT theres nearly always the possibility to still stretch a little, to do very soft mobility training.... so even beeing ill is no excuse!)

    Hey Kirsty, I was wondering what your take is on people who have been brought up with processed food and are now health-conscious adults striving to stick to unprocessed food "diet", however they don't get that satisfaction from it - regardless of quality, how well the food is made or how good it testes . What I read is that over time, processed food, causes a disruption in the communication between the GI tract and the brain (i.e. the gut-brain axis). Is that reversible and what are some strategies/tools/practices to navigate that? Unfortunately I have seen many people on that boat and was curious if you have noticed the same. Thank you!

    • @Kristi-Eramo-OConnell
      @Kristi-Eramo-OConnell  Год назад +1

      That they do! I think it is always best to try and eat Whole Foods first. That being said Protein is a major factor for building muscle and maintaining leanness. If you need a protein shake to help you while you are on the go or to help you hit your protein goals that will be better than skipping meals or not hitting your protein goals.

    • @chrisburton3571
      @chrisburton3571 4 месяца назад

      I don’t like the term “Eating healthy”, because it means different things depending on who you ask. I can eat all of my meals at McDonald’s for a month and lose weight. There are obese vegans. A calorie deficit, while extremely important, is one aspect of the process. Whole food with emphasis on macronutrients is just as important as a deficit.
