    Nice video, mate! Appreciate that you loosened the bolts prior to filming and made the video short and straight to the topic! Thumb up!

    The steering wheel bolt never comes loose?

    • @FlowVFM
      @FlowVFM  3 года назад

      From factory it comes tightly screwed in there but I had to loosen it up before the video to make the vid short and straight to the point. It quite a job and loosen it and I went at an outo garage to use a impact gun

    What size allen key do you need for the centre bolt?

    Hi did you have any SRS (airbag) and ABS, EPS faults with the broken clockspring?

    • @FlowVFM
      @FlowVFM  5 лет назад

      No I did not!

    • @Sclassmercedes
      @Sclassmercedes 5 лет назад +1

      D harris you supposed to have a bas esp light

    • @FlowVFM
      @FlowVFM  5 лет назад

      @@Sclassmercedes true but in my case I did not have any light on dash, I diagnosed the fault as being the clockspring because the horn wasn't working anymore when you push on steering wheel. I then checked the horn separately to the battery and worked fine, the fuses ware fine as well so took the air bag off and seen the spring broken. No other light on

    Hey , i have an" srs "light and "air bag off" light on the dash please help ?????

      That is something that is removed with an obd reader

  • @FlowVFM

    I did not have any faults in the dash
    The only thing is that the horn wasn't working because the role wire was broken. It could have been fixed with a soldering gun and a bit of attention, but I had a spare and done a change.
    Disconnect battery first.
    With your problem, it might be a break light switch at the brake pedal and that cod cause and ABS light on and cruise control not working and other thing.

      Thank you for your prompt reponse. In this case the brake switch is working. The horn doesnt work, airbag fault and ESP ABS fault on the dash. When I plug in the scan tool steering angle sensor fault is also coming up.

    • @FlowVFM
      @FlowVFM  6 лет назад +1

      D harris if you had a scan and the angle sensor came about you should change it. The other ones could be multiple causes, like in the ABS light, could be abs module, or sensor at tire level, not enough fluid in the break bottle, try a scan, get codes , google them, see other peoples videos and fallow them by eliminating one by one.
      Try Mercedes Medic on google

    Thanks, Valentin Florian, this video helped me get started! For anyone who also needs to see the steering wheel alignment marks, and also change the airbag pad/cover, here is a full step-by-step video which shows everything:

    What a horrible tutorial you don't even tell us what tools you used what size the bolts are to get the airbag off for anything

      Mate, I am not a professional mechanic and did this so you can have a rough idea on what you are facing there. if you dont like it , find another one more usefull.
