That Valduk deck was exquisitely built. I love decks that sing like that.
Valduk is so simple, but SO cool. The moment he started piling on the treasures, I thought, "Man, now all he needs is to have Bludgeon Brawl out". And then he did!
Mono red is so fun! Underworld Breach/Jeska's Will is one of my favorite red combos 🙌🏼

Terror of the peaks and underworld breach are very strong magic cards
An unanswered Terror of the Peaks wins games handily, and this was no exception

its crazy to see how different my valduk deck is, and in comparison how cheap probably.
My Valduk deck is basically cheap artifact spells go wide and hit as fast as possible.
This Valduk deck was value town. Crazy.
inspiring statuary is such a good card, its insane.
Yeah ive been playing mtg for about 10 years now so you do pick up a thing or 2 along the way. And yeah inspiring statuary is very good

More like Eric colluding with Dom to feed Dom cards. Even when Dom is WAY ahead. This wasn't a good game.

Hello Andrew, what is the island you played at around 7:15? It's very cool.
I gotta say, as a veteran Valduk player, Dom put a bunch of straight power cards his deck really doesn't need to sing. The jeska's will & the underworld breach did a lot of work for him, but they do a lot of work in any deck they are in. The version I play is also nowhere near as creature heavy.
It was a really cool spin to turn an equipment deck into a creature storm deck, but I suspect it gets a lot of hate considering he played over 150$ over 5 cards lol
It also felt like maybe that pushed the deck over the point of "same relative power level as the 3 other decks" and that's basically my reason for commenting lol
So much unprovoked Shorikai hate today... what did you do to them in the past? 😅
it doen't appear that Dom discarded as the additional cost to unexpected windfall ( I realize you narrated it) it looks like he forgot going by the graveyard pile after.
Would you be able to use the tap ability of shorikai 4:18? No haste and Came in this turn?
It's not a creature unless crewed. You can activate artifacts the turn they come in.
I’m confused, how could Dom use Jeska’s Will multiple times?
Underworld Breach. Nonland cards in his graveyard have Escape (he can cast them from the GY by exiling three other cards from the GY in addition to paying the mana cost).
I'm confused as to why Professional Face-Breaker was getting out two-treasure tokens per combat. Did any other creatures have first strike?
Dom was swinging at and damaging two different opponents so PFB trigger gets him a treasure token for each opponent damaged.

Another poorly timesd instant speed removal spell that warped an entire game. If that generous gift was saved for a card, that was an actual threat (like maybe a terror that came down the very next turn). This game would have been so different. The Bane would have been large for sure, but without haste, it wasn't even remotely threatening. The worst part of it was resolving whether it was of the field or not. Well, I hope they learn to wait until the end step before their own turn to cast such spells in the future.

Wait what's the legality of a non-creature legendary being a commander? If a legendary artifact vehicle can be a commander, could a regular legendary artifact be one? Could a legendary land also be a commander?
Shorikai explicitly states that it may be your commander.

Under certain conditions, a noncreature card can be a commander. Some cards, mostly planeswalkers, have the ability "[This card] can be your commander". As of now, Shorikai is the only noncreature artifact with this ability.
There's also Grist, who can be a commander because her ability makes her a creature card in the command zone.
Finally, we have Backgrounds, noncreature enchantments that can be commanders if paired with a commander creature with the ability "Choose a Background".

Was rooting for mono green stompy or mechas but that Ancient Copper and Terror of the Peaks told me how it was gonna go down. RIP Tazri player too
