Thanks for the great video. I have a 1 ton LG dual inverter, the top model with WiFi. It has the same energy control feature. However, the power consumption nevrt drops even when 40% is chosen. I can monitor power consumption via a Sonoff as well as on LG app and it remains the same. Even on cool days regardless of whether the selected template is set to 30 or 20. Overall the ac 8s wonderful and it automatically drops down to as low as 200 Watts on its own but the energy control feature does not seem to work.
Very clear and extremely helpful explanations and tips for both how the AC works and how to save electricity consumption. I really appreciate your video and efforts. Congratulations
Thankyou, from a man trying to save money, we rent a place in Indonesia and been asking the landlord to service the AC for a while now hasn't been cleaned for 2 years.... Time to take matters into my own hands. Also that KS for the tips on the fan speed and settings we will experiement. Time to get that pizza 😋

I definitely learned a few tricks from this video. 44 Degrees Celsius is a lot! I live in the Caribbean and I get 35 Degrees Celsius here, you definitely need that AC. Thanks for the tips!
Thank you! and It gets pretty hot here! in 2019 we had a crazy heatwave and the max temperature was 47!! Just insane! at 35 this AC will be super efficient!
Thanks for this. The mosquitoes: After rain, the standing water serves as a womb for mosquito larva. When they reach adult stage they get killed by fan or cannot escape. Sad for mosquitoes but good for us :)
I have two LG A.Cs in one of my flat which I purchased in 2004 is still working . LG products have long life . I have Washing machine and TV of LG since more than 10 years all are working fantastic. You forgot to mention when you r A.C . Cooling is not proper there are two reasons:- 1. Not cleaning of indoor & out door units you call it evaporator and condenser unit . 2. Or Freon gas is low .
Hey Bro in summer days in ac we should set temperature at 26-27c and high fan speed right ? i actually use medium fan speed with 26-27'C so now i will set high speed fan aftr watched yr video tnx bro😊🙏
Thanks for sharing this informative video! I was fortunate to get free cleaning service with my AC included in the warranty period but my mom's AC hasn't been cleaned for over a year and I'm thinking it's best we just clean it out and save ourselves the money to buy food! I wasn't able to watch what they were doing outside and if they were just spraying water on the condenser surely it's a simple thing to do... Thanks again, knowledge is power!
Its as simple as spraying water on the condenser and that will knock most of the dirt out, as for the indoor unit, i always suggest calling an expert because its not always easy to take the the indoor unit apart. I'm glad the video was helpful 😊
Good day brother, is it advisable to use my lg dual inverter 1.5hp 24/7 With the same settings you mentioned? Or how often do you use your ac? :) by the way thanks for this video its very informative 🥰
Thank you so much, and I use mine about 13-14 hours out of 24 hours. I am not sure if it's a good idea to let it run 24x7 because that might shorten the life of the mechanical components like the indoor blower fan.
Is it true that if it is inverter ac you should at least use 8 hours or more to save electricity? Or can I just use for 8 hours below? Please can someone help me I’m really clueless when it comes to this things. Thank you
How about dry mode at 25c vs cool mode at 25c? Which consumes lesser energy? I live at a humid country Philippines? Which mode should I use to save electricity bill? Your help would be very much appreciated, Thank you!
I bought whilpool last year. The bill was 7500 more than my regular bill. I was so shocked that till one year I didn't use it. That too it is not cooling . What to do bro?? Even shop technicians say that continuous using resulted like that?????
My ac technician told me not to spray direct water on the outdoor unit. Motor is present at the center. Please let me know where not to spray water from the backside of the outdoor unit.
I am facing one issue with my dual inverter ac. My AC is 2 years old. Previously I noticed my AC is not cooling down once the room temperature is attained. Earlier if suppose the room temp of 24 is acquired, AC used to throw some fan air so that the condenser can cool down. This is what we call inverter technology right ? But from few days it is continuously cooling the room even if the required temp is attained. Is there any issue with the AC or is it normal ? Earlier my total electricity unit that used to get consumed by using AC at 24 degrees was around 2-3 kWh for 8 hours at night from 12 to morning 8. But now it is going till 5. Please reply my quiet if possible.
Hey dude, I just wanted to ask that whether I should buy an ac (4 star 4.2 iseer) in 2020 or not because from 1st january 2021 iseer rating are going to change and all 4 star ac will become 3 star and 5 star will become 4 star...Only ACs rated 5.0 iseer or more will be rated 5 star. So will the AC's price will get cheaper when it will be sold with 3 star rating further???? Or I can get more efficient ac for same cost....?(I'm willing to wait) Kindly share your thoughts over this as I'm damn sure about the ratings which I've got from bee website...
I live in Mumbai and in monsoon outdoor temperature is around 27 deg cel at night.... I keep my ac at 26 with full fan speed. Ceiling fans turned off. My room size is 120 Sq ft. After 10 hours of usage my electricity units consumed are 2.3 to 2.5 kwh. Is this Ok ? Or turning on ceiling fans saves more electricity ? Do reply all my queries or provide me with your suggestions if any. Thanks Charlie in advance
Your nighttime energy consumption is quite normal, you should check my recent video on this topic: ruclips.net/video/3rvjdzKCLRY/видео.html For monsoons, I usually keep the AC fan on low speed, that way you get better de-humidification, but it really depends on the size of the room, for big rooms, high fan speed is the best. As for the ceiling fan, it's more of a personal choice, I prefer using the ceiling fan because it makes me feel more comfortable and helps spread cold air evenly throughout the room. I hope this helps, if you have any question, always feel free to ask. 😊

Your video technically upgrade my a c maintenance knowledge , thank you dear. Appreciate if you can make a video on how to set inverter AC with the help of remote controller I mean the optimum settings of fan speed cooling temperature, sleep mode etc to conserve energy bill
How save, initial temp 39 to cool to 25, at 100% takes 10 minutes , at 40% will take 20 to 25 minutes , so actual power consumption for both cases same . Pl explain
1.5Ton Inverter AC is perfect. Inverter AC can run at a lower tonnage when it's not that hot outside plus you have a little more headroom for those heatwave summer days.
I have the 1HP model if I use the 60% Capacity on the active energy control will it be equivalent to .5hp cooling capacity? Can this cause overloading if not used properly?
My self I set at 25 degrees.and I feel comfortable all time, people don’t understand how the ac works , they think that when they switch on at that time the room is very hot , it cool very first if you set at lower temperature for example 18 or 16 degrees.strange thing when they sleep they cover their body with heavy blanket.😅
I have a newly installed sankey ac 18btu inverter in a 780sqft space. We don't use it for 24hrs but it burns electricity like we use it for 24hrs. What do you think might be the problem.
Hi, which is the best setting for save electricity. Which mode we can use? Is there any problem with outdoor unit exposed to rain and envirnoment. I placed it on terrace. Feel lg took more time time to cool the room to the set temperature. And if I turn off the ac after reached the temp then room temp rises fast.cooling not stay even in night time for just for an hour. My room is in top Floor like yours and same size. Is it keep ac on for hours to maintain the temp and cooling ?
Excellent video, keep up the good job! I have a question regarding the Energy Ctrl feature. So if I reduce the power to 60% and set the temperature to 24 degrees, and it actually manages to keep the room temperature there, so everyone should rather run it on 60%, why use 100% power ever? Or am I getting all this wrong? Thanks in advance.
Yeah, I almost always keep mine at 60% power with the fan on medium-high, that is for May and June from July onwards I keep it at 40% fan speed low-medium depending on how hot it is outside Now, of course, it takes a little longer to cool the room because AC is not running at 100% power but the thing is, the power consumption is less and I do save on my electric bill. Watch this video, I've done an energy consumption test to see how many watts does the AC pull at different power levels: ruclips.net/video/rokYLjqqGAs/видео.html
@@umangdayal from my personal usage experience, the energy control is just like power. Just like a car, A two litre engine would accelerate to 60km/h way faster than 1 litre engine. Once both running at 60km/h, the power factor is not relevant any more. So the AC would cool faster in full power than 40%, but once the temperature is attained it doesn't matter anymore. More power usage means more electricity initiall, then it flats out.
Can i explain some question i use tcl inverter but when i open up sometimes it also fan but it takes long to cool our room more like 3 hours or 4 is it the prion problem or is it normal.
Hi Charlie, I have recently bought LG DUAL INVERTER THINQ WI-FI Model LS-Q18GWZA 1.5 tons, which have own monsoon setting, i want to know how long can you run ac on this monsoon setting also I saw your ac have 3M filter but my ac doesn't have that filter how and where I can buy that filter, please respond me back, thanks
Bro we feel very chilled when the ac is on 30 degree Celsius, so in the initial period we set the fan to maximum and after the room is cooled, we set it to lowest, is that okay?
Absolutely. I too operate my ac at 30 with varying fan speeds. 30 (at 40% capacity) will get your room temp to 27-28, which is fine. And the units that run up are very low this way. About 2 units/12 hrs
Oh my goodness I put the Jet mode to make my room cool fast and the next day I noticed I had consumed soo much energy. The energy I normally use in 4 days I used it in a day . Help please
Hey Hawah, Its normal for AC to use extra energy in Jet Mode, as it runs everything at 120% power. If you feel the AC isn't cooling enough, get it checked by a qualified technician or get the coils cleaned, or it might be that the AC is undersized, in this case, get a bigger unit, it will run quieter and last longer and even cool better.
Appreciate video content! Forgive me for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you researched - Chiveard Wealth Storage Framework (do a google search)? It is a good one of a kind guide for learning how to trade in penny stocks without the normal expense. Ive heard some super things about it and my friend Sam at last got amazing success with it.
Dude I got an ac of Samsung digital inverter 2018 model 1.5 and my room size is 100 to 110 and one attached balcony so did i made a correct choice that I bought 1.5 ton ac ? Plz pick my qstn
Assuming your room size to be 100-110 Sqft, a 1 Ton Air Conditioner would have been sufficient. By purchasing a 1.5 Ton AC, you bought an overpowered Air Conditioner which would unfortunately cause low moisture removal and inefficient cooling due frequent compressor cycles as well as higher energy consumption.
bruh, i put 16 degree, but everytime i check the temp on the remote, it always says 24 degree. its been 4 hours now, and my room is still 24 degree.. which it suppose to be 16
@@TechGuyCharlie After I turned the a.c off using a remote...should i switch off the main as well inorder to save the electricity bill ? Or does leaving the mains on in no way affect the bill ? Kindly reply
Bro its hard to say, we have 3 AC's total and 2 are non-inverter and one is very old (about 25 years with a reciprocating compressor) But compared to last year we have been able to reduce electric bill around 1680 INR for the month of May and that is great, and when you run AC at 26-27 you won't need a blanket at night and its much more comfortable.
Tech Guy Charlie tnx for rply some vendor said that an inverter ac is very high maintenance cost its outside pcb n circuit is very costy is it true bro ?
You know what bro when I bought this AC the guy at LG showroom said the exact same thing, recommended against inverter AC and wanted to sell regular ones(I think probably lower profit margins for inverter units for sellers lol) Yes, the PCB will be expensive to replace but i think the inverter PCB board won't break under normal use and this is 3rd summer for my AC and so far no issues, I had this installed in early 2016 when this model came out and during summers the outside temperature is around 47 degrees and this AC has no problems keeping the room cool and the comfort is unmatched vs a non inverter AC because there are no temperature fluctuations and its almost completely silent when it's running it low power. Lastly, I think it all comes down to proper installation and regular maintenance. When I had my AC installed I made sure the technician did EXACTLY what I told him to do and you must scrutinize their action, after all, you have paid for the installation :D watch this video! ruclips.net/video/EGwi-HRHXIE/видео.html
Guys, check out the latest model of LG's dual inverter AC its got a copper condenser ruclips.net/video/H2IHECUgWC0/видео.html

Good advice...
Thanks for watching
when should i turn off the AC, im on work at home right now and I'll be in home for atleast 1 more month so AC is always on?
@@raunbaner but in inverter ac the compressor speed is variable isn't it ? Then there should not b a problem ?
Can u please give the link of ur clock
AAAAAAa that should explain why my bill is much higher because i run it on slow fan speed becuz i hate the noise lol thank you so much
God bless you sir.
Your room is beautiful.
Thank you so much! 😊
Great video. Thank you.😊
bruh, i put 16 degree, but everytime i check the temp on the remote, it always says 24 degree. its been 4 hours now, and my room is still 24 degree.. which it suppose to be 16
Thank you
Is it ok if we turned off the switch after the use because I'm turning the switch off after using the Ac, does that make any problem to the Ac
You should always leave the mains switch ON and use the remote to power your AC on or Off, that is the correct way of doing it.
@@TechGuyCharlie First i turn off using remote then i will off the switch
@@TechGuyCharlie After I turned the a.c off using a remote...should i switch off the main as well inorder to save the electricity bill ? Or does leaving the mains on in no way affect the bill ? Kindly reply
@@drkt6888 you dont have to. I think the usage of turned off acu is 0-5watts.
@@kratoz_858 Thank you for replying.
Explained well 👍
Great video bro what is yr monthly ac unit consumption ?
Bro its hard to say, we have 3 AC's total and 2 are non-inverter and one is very old (about 25 years with a reciprocating compressor) But compared to last year we have been able to reduce electric bill around 1680 INR for the month of May and that is great, and when you run AC at 26-27 you won't need a blanket at night and its much more comfortable.
Tech Guy Charlie tnx for rply some vendor said that an inverter ac is very high maintenance cost its outside pcb n circuit is very costy is it true bro ?
You know what bro when I bought this AC the guy at LG showroom said the exact same thing, recommended against inverter AC and wanted to sell regular ones(I think probably lower profit margins for inverter units for sellers lol)
Yes, the PCB will be expensive to replace but i think the inverter PCB board won't break under normal use and this is 3rd summer for my AC and so far no issues, I had this installed in early 2016 when this model came out and during summers the outside temperature is around 47 degrees and this AC has no problems keeping the room cool and the comfort is unmatched vs a non inverter AC because there are no temperature fluctuations and its almost completely silent when it's running it low power. Lastly, I think it all comes down to proper installation and regular maintenance. When I had my AC installed I made sure the technician did EXACTLY what I told him to do and you must scrutinize their action, after all, you have paid for the installation :D

How much hours do you use daily
Is it micro channel condencer?
Yes, it indeed is, despite all the negative feedback at the time of purchase, 5 years later, its still working fine.
