Wish I had met these two particularly Tommy Makem. They sang with such heartfelt spirit. This particular concert especially moves me. No better Irish songs with all its happiness and lamenting.
I love the Dubliners ,raw enthusiastic energy, however the Clancy's and Makem give us a more poetic sophisticated version of Irish folk, both are valued and treasured.
This is just about when I saw these two in Seattle; two very talented singers, and Tommy Makem wrote many rattlin' good songs. He truly was the Bard of Armagh. And Liam--there are no words for how sweet his voice was.
