If You're Wondering WHY YOUR GOLF GAME STINKS Watch This Video

  • YOUR GOLF GAME IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THE INFORMATION YOU HAVE. IF YOUR GOLF SWING STILL STINKS AND YOU ARE MISERABLE, WHY DO YOU KEEP GOING BACK TO THE SAME MISTAKES AND MECHANICS THAT DON'T WORK?
The title says it all. You golfers have been fooled your whole golfing lives by the golf media (golf magazines, golf instruction "gurus" and false golf instruction ideologies) - OPEN YOUR EYES TO THE TRUTH, PEOPLE!
I'VE HAD IT - ENOUGH IS ENOUGH -
The average golfer is learning the same old things that DON'T WORK. There's a reason why 97.3% of the 1,200 students I've taught have come to me with the same problems - you probably know them all too well -
    1. "Shifting Weight" and "Swaying" in the swing
    2. Turning the "shoulders level to the ground"
    3. "Releasing" the hands
    4. Dropping the club "into the slot" in the backswing
    5. "LIFTING THE ARMS" in the backswing
    6. KEEP YOUR "RIGHT KNEE FLEXED" for power.
It's the same old stuff folks, you read it and try it out, and it doesn't work. No wonder you're still stuck at square one and not seeing the improvement you would like to see in your golf game.
I know the struggle BECAUSE I WAS JUST LIKE YOU until I found Stack and Tilt :O - oh heavens, I said the "S" word.
Well, I was a NEVER-TILTER for most of my golfing life because people said IT'S BAD, EVIL, DON'T DO THAT, YOU WOULD BE AN IDIOT OF YOU DID THAT SWING.......c'mon, I believed the lies and suffered for it.
I came to Stack and Tilt when my golf game was at its absolute rock bottom. I was just about to call it quits - my PGA Membership and career in the golf business ---- over. THEN, a golf pro friend of mine approached me with some simple swing keys in a lesson. He said:
    "take the club MORE IN"
    "Straighten your right leg"
    "Keep the weight forward"
I knew it was Stack and Tilt stuff BUT I HAD NOTHING TO LOSE - I was just about to quit the game I loved........FOREVER
What happened in the next few strikes of the ball changed my mindset on the golf swing forever. The contact was a pure-ness I had never felt before. I thought I compressed the ball when I hit it well in the past. NO, THIS.....THIS was real compression. It felt like butter on the clubface - unbelievable.
In two weeks of working on these simple keys (which by the way, these keys were contradictory to everything I had ever learned by the golf experts and the golf media). IN TWO WEEKS, I went from shooting high 80's and low 90's from the WHITE TEES at a tough local course to shooting a 74 from the CHAMPIONSHIP TEES at the same tough local course. It didn't take long for me to make the switch to something that FINALLY works.
The information just plain works - when you work with information that is rooted in the laws of physics and geometry.......it just works!! There is a cause and effect for everything. NO MORE GUESSING.
I got into teaching with the simple mission of helping golfers make the most out of the game they love.
One day, while on the lesson tee, IT HIT ME when I realized that almost all of my lessons were starting to blend together - I was telling everyone to "turn the lead shoulder down", "take the club more inside", "place the weight forward". THAT'S WHEN I SNAPPED - everybody is struggling with the same problems.
This is ridiculous - there is a reason the average golf score is in the 100s. ----------BAD INFORMATION -----FAILING GOLF SWING METHODS-----HIGH SCORES-------MISERABLE STUDENTS-----------FRUSTRATION AND QUITTING OF THE GAME = OVERALL LACK OF PARTICIPATION IN GOLF.
You're tired and fed up too. It's obvious - who really wants to spend their whole golfing life duffing it around???? It is miserable.
If you're DONE with the old - that's not working - time to make a change. Stop fighting yourself and work with information that is effective and body-friendly.
It's amazing when students start working on simple swing keys - like the ones in this video - that they start dropping shots like liposuction in their golf games. It's UNREAL and I am so happy for them.
This game can be a lot simpler. That's why I want you to make the switch today. There are greener pastures ahead. Stop wandering around in the "Golf Swing Desert" for 40 years and come to the "Land of Milk and Honey".
It all starts by working on the right things.
Want to get started - you can learn all of this in a simple $10/month online golf school. Try it out and see how 90s and 100s shooters are breaking 80 and playing the best golf of their lives in a matter of a few practice sessions. - saguto.golf
This isn't a gimmick - the information just works. Why are you going to allow yourself to continue to suffer in this game when you know there's another more effective way to play?
Through this program I hope to bring the average score in the golfing world from the 100s to the 80s and LOWER. It can be done. Start working on the right things and transform your game for the better INSTANTLY.

In the past three days I’ve watched a bunch of your videos. Today I finally got a chance to try it out. At first I sucked and remembered one of your videos saying don’t beat yourself up during practice (wasn’t easy). I was chunking dunking slicing this that and the other thing.
After taking a few deep breathes and replaying the videos in my head the shoulder video popped up.
BINGO THIS IS THE SECRET.... ON MY BACK SWING I MADE SURE MY SHOULDER WAS OVER THE BALL AND MY CHIN DIGGING INTO MY SHOULDER. Then magic happened. I was hitting the ball so well it was incredible. At first I was going through all my check points with terrible results. Once I did this shoulder thing that’s all I was thinking about. I can’t wait to get back to the range this week and continue my new swing. Thanks so much Tom 👍🏻

Hi Tom, I am learning a lot from your lessons in your golf program. Yesterday, I came out of the bunker using your Method 1. I was totally amazed that your technique worked. I did not even practice bunker shots on the range. I am so glad I became a member of Saguto Golf. Your instructions are very easy to follow. You are the best golf teacher. Funny thing is I haven’t even taken a lesson from you in person and still my ball striking has improved in just playing 9 holes twice. Thank you so much Tom!

      Hi Rajan,
I'm very glad to know that you are already reaping benefits from the school in such a short amount of time!! And nice job with the bunker technique, by the way!
The curriculum gives you all the instruction you need to become a ball striking machine, and if you learn it incrementally and gradually you won't even need a lesson (though you are still perfectly free to schedule one anyway...😎). However, as I believe I may have mentioned to you previously, do be sure to arrange for a V1 Swing Video Analysis at least every 3-4 months to ensure that everything is on track.

Changed to single plain swing after stumbling across Tom Saguto golf channel 3 weeks ago. Was always taught arms up high in back swing shallow club transfer weight and rotate through shot. Mixed results but generally inconsistent, also sick to death of hearing "shallow the club" . Single plain club is already shallow and impact is solid sharp and crisp. Thank you Tom for the no nonsense tips, looking forward to the next video.

Tom I hate with a passion the feel and sound of missing the sweet spot. I just recently started watching some of your videos and my percentage of center strikes has gone way up. Even thinking about bringing out my 1979 Wilson Staff blades again. I love those clubs in the SW thru about 7 iron. I didn't realize my hips had become so dead in the swing. I hope your viewers realize that if the hips are used properly a 90 degree shoulder turn is no big deal even for older golfers (I am 70). Thanks for reminding me how to swing.

I must admit the swing works and 2 weeks ago I was hitting the ball pure. However, The difficulty comes in overcoming old habits and feels. You get in the between your old and new swing and try everything you can to get back to the new. It seems as though I can stay left with my irons but the Driver and fairway woods I struggle staying on my left side. It simple idea but going to need a lot of practice for this old dude.

I know I had to be coming over the top. My swing looks better on video but I have no idea if the actual result is better or worse.... maybe I need to put my practice sessions on YOutube and the actual results on the course when I can get there. Frustrating.. ready to find one of the more hidden holes on my local course and just give the swing a try for like 5 balls... Thanks for inspiring me to get away from my 33 handicap after playing for 34 years...I was lost and desperate in the golf desert. I think I can see the Oasis ahead... is that Saguto I see up there? One aspect of all this confusion in the golf swing is that it keeps people on a never ending quest for the "right equipment".

    Tom,
So many positive comments about the clarity of your instruction.
A suggestion, if I may. I asked you in a previous post, I believe it was the heavy hoola hoop plane video, what your two pivot club distances were vs your current S and T carry distances, which you kindly summarized.
I expect I am not alone in this search for statistical evidence. I wonder if you could do a video where you compare pre Saguto handicaps to post Saguto S and T handicaps?
Relating your distance and strike improvement offers anecdotal evidence of S and T superiority over two pivot. A before and after handicap comparison would be the scientific acid test.
When the Wuhan virus dissipates, and we golfer's get back out playing the game, providing Saguto Golf with before and after handicap differential would mathimatically buttress the effectiveness of the technique. GIR and Fairways hit per round would be another way of measuring, but requires more data to review.

Hi Tom, any tips for golfers who cannot turn their shoulders 90 degrees? Older and hips won’t rotate as far as they used to.

      Hi Philip,
A significant percentage of my online school members are in their 60's, 70's, and 80's - i.e.: a smorgasbord of chronic ailments, physical limitations, back/shoulder/knee/hip pain, arthritis, and joint replacements - and they are overwhelmingly elated to experience the dramatic pain-free game improvement, seemingly effortless power, and resulting enjoyment that this swing affords them. It all begins with a proper setup which maximizes hip turn and thereby provides for a free-flowing motion. Upon that good foundation a repeatable swing which produces consistently crispy impact can be built.
Have you considered the comprehensive, structured, sequential learning platform of the online school? That's where - among many other courses and lessons covering various aspects of the game - you will find very detailed instruction and drills that take you through the entire swing step-by-step from setup to finish. Here's a link if you would like to know more about the school - saguto.golf - and here's a link to my free mini-course “The Top 3 Things You Need to Be a Great Ball Striker” if you’re interested in checking it out: go.saguto.golf/
You don't need the flexibility of a Romanian gymnast - or even of this far less pliable golf instructor - to execute this swing, experience great ball striking, and reclaim - or even exceed - yardages from years past. I hope you'll give the school some thought.
      Tom

Would single length clubs be Moore beneficial as a novice player ,thanks Tom.

I bought a set of cobras... loved them when I first started.. some draw backs though... you have to get used to your wedges being the same length as your 7 Iron... not a biggie.. but you most definitely lose distance with your longer clubs..
Again I loved them but I out grew them way faster than I thought I would... still hit cobra woods, hybrid, driver..
The baffler system on the bottom of the hybrids and woods are a great add on for novices...
If I could do it over...I would've got some GIC's probably a better choice... like AP3 or ther Mizunos I have now... probably could hit the one lengths better now....
      Good luck...

Tom, I can hit great punch shots all day, often drawing the ball with the preferred S&T push draw. But when I go to full swing, it's back to thin shots and pull fads and slices. How do I fix this?

  • @MPerski
    @MPerski 4 года назад +2

This is great. Been playing for years and never really tried Stack & Tilt because it's too confusing.
S&T purists promote five basic elements, and then there is a bunch of "fine tuning" which confuses it and gives it a bad reputation. No wonder people are confused. Keep it simple, stupid!
But after watching your videos, you have seemed to simplify it, narrowing it down to THREE elements; and (other than "maintaining the relationship to the ball"), basically TWO.
    1. Start with more WEIGHT LEFT, keep it there and shift most all of it there by impact, and
    2. Turn your LEFT SHOULDER DOWN, maintain your spine angle, then right shoulder down at impact
    Less is more!
The rest of the things mostly happen on their own if you do the first two.
I had a teaching pro tell me "keep your head behind the ball". Now I think it was the worst advice I ever got. I said, "I can't do it!" How am I supposed to keep my head behind the ball yet shift my weight to the left foot by impact? Too many moving parts, difficult to keep in sync, timing all the moves almost impossible in the second or two that a golf swing takes. 🙄 Keeping centered over the ball seems so much easier.
    Thanks, I'm sticking with it.

I haven’t been able to get any better at golf for a few years now. So I thought I’d try this, stack and tilt, even bought the book. I must be doing something very, very wrong. Spent a few hours on this. Can’t hit at all. If I do the ball flight is very low. I had to stop due to back pain. Never got back pain from golf before. I’m certainly not blaming Tom or criticizing the technique, but trying to learn this (golf) from video and a book has been, well, unsuccessful. I’m using video feedback as well. Anyone else struggling? I’m going to take some Advil, put the clubs away, and move on. I tried in person In person instruction. I’m not sure why I’m posting. But if you read this , thanks for listening and stay safe.

The only issue I see is when you can not externally rotate the right arm that well. Especially people with a bit rounded upper back and shoulder in a more forward position will have problems with external rotation of the right arm.

Yes, I've noticed when I tell them to get the hand pointing 45 degrees it works well. Sometimes people are too tense and they cant make the motion. If they cant make it, I devise workarounds

Your low point is likely shifting backwards at some point in the swing. Here are a couple of lessons in this regard:
