I always wonder what it takes to clean up all that dust. Also, I find the cooling towers are the most interesting.......the way they fold up like they're made of wax or something. The thing I don't understand is, what's the purpose of dropping a steel bridge, intact, directly into the water where it sits half submerged? After they cut up the part above the water, how do they remove what's under water?
@@denimadept That's the point....cooling towers are like egg shells. Once the structure is compromised even slightly, there's no strength left & they fold like a cheap suit. As to the submerged bridges, if they're going to blow them, why not blow them into pieces small enough to be lifted out of the water without any more cutting? If pieces are already flying all over from the explosion, what's a few more flying pieces. It all stays within the same blast area. I don't know. I'm wondering.

I am always amazed by the amount of dust generated. Not the dust from the ground, but dust from the interior of the building. Yes, I know there is dust on the floors everywhere, and the building usually has been abandoned for some time. But there's still about four or five times as much as I expect. I am also gratified that the explosive people know how to blast a building and get it to fall right where it should. Usually.
@Nicholas Keeven I actually have to disagree with you on that, I have heard some new music in recent years that has been pretty good but they are mainly from independent artists and not the one's who crave attention (rappers, for example, whose can only make noise and hateful stuff)

Unless you fly a plane into the building, then in a couple of hours should collapse at free fall speed. Not sure they still use demo experts. Just need a drone piolit to fly a big enough plane into the building. The rest is history
What you are seeing is the "Final Drop". Some building implosions take several months to prepare like the 31 story Ocean Tower building on South Padre island Texas.
1:50 I'm sure the structural engineer, demolition advisor and the neighbouring building owner must of crapped their pants. Seeing a building stop demolishing and start to pivot sideways looks like an unplanned event.
