The first secret super is actually the Misogi, a callback to his strongest Lvl 3 super from Capcom vs Snk 2. The second secret is from Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, called the Kongou Kokuretsuzan, the killing strike he originally sunk the Gokentou Island with in Street Fighter Alpha.
His Misogi "big chop" super debuted in Capcom vs. SNK 2 in 2001, and KKZ "giant ground explosion" debuted in 3rd Strike in 1999 (It is first mentioned however in Akuma's ending in SFIII: Second Impact, 1997, where he shatters Uluru in half)
You don't need to mash, you just have to wait until he turns his head back (he does that after 8-9 seconds, near the end) and press down + taunt, just once.
@@romullorodrigues4975 No, NOT Street Fighter 5. In SFV his CA is Sekia Kuretsuha. It's a different move. This is Kongou Kokuretsuzan - the technique Akuma developped in SF3 2nd impact ending, and used in 3rd strike as a regular super. It's a similar technique but not the same.
Honestly, this is the best way they could’ve implemented it. Both players agree to shenanigans? Cool! It’s not like giving you easy access to a clearly broken character like Gill in Third Strike.
Do you think you can get away with doing the taunt by doing it immediately after hitting them with a move that sends them in the air and getting them dizzy?
Tell me you just start playing fighting games without telling me you just started playing fighting games...... Dude heard about street fighter 3 years ago ROTFL
IGN getting blasted in the comments for no reason. Both of these skills are in SF5 and I’d argue most people would recognize them from there. Sure they date back earlier but they never claimed it was the first time the move was seen.
Being technically correct but ultimately misleading is absolutely just another way of being wrong. Don't defend them for being lazy and incompetent. But they're not even technically correct for both, only one, because they call one of his moves a reference to Kage even though Kage was the one making a reference to Akuma. Not sure how you can defend that mistake. Are you an IGN employee?

Ign not fact checking again
@@Kinshinobi Naw what they said is true, both of those are in Street Fighter 5 as they said, they just also date back even earlier than that.
@@TheCoolguymanly
KKZ is not in SFV. A similar super is though.
CORRECT
@@TheCoolguymanly That's a garbage take
So you're telling me that Akuma is actually Hungry Akuma and Shin Akuma is him when he's not starving?
He should have saved that after the fight.😅
IGN not knowing where his supers originally came from is kinda wild. Gaming is supposed to be your thing.
The new people they got don't got a lot of gaming history as we can see
It's IGN. Nothing should surprise you.
Well what he said wasn't inaccurate, he didn't say these moves first appeared in SFV.
Who the hell is going to let someone do a taunt that long 😂.
Could see someone letting you do it but not in ranked for sure.
@@Replies.Delete.SometimesIDKy 100% 🤝
Gentleman's agreement to both do the taunt at round start if you queue up against another Akuma in ranked

You would be surprise many players will allow it for akuma

Thanks!! It worked.🤣🤣

All akuma mains must eat together before fighting
lmao we're normally fighting a starved Akuma, that's why his moveset's so nerfed. Thanks for revealing this secret!!
Correction: the second super mentioned is from SF3 third strike!
And street fighter 5

these moves are older than SFV. ign needs an FGC member on staff.
The games between SF2-4 were not widely played to be fair.

This is... extremely untrue.

Capcom has all the data they need and their output suggests eitherwise, the world warrior roster is always prioritized.
0:59 that's actually not an SFV reference. It's a reference to Shin Akuma's Misogi from CvS2.
He's so badass that he got 7 or 8 supers (including airhado)!!!
Proof that Akuma is a Shonen Protagonist; he instantly gains strength from eating.
"This is a call back to Kage's V trigger"
- *and that is a call back to Shin Akuma's MISOGI super move in CVS2 and in CVS1 (special intro)*

Ah. Ya gotta love the classic "you messed up with one thing therefore you dont know anything ay all about said thing" argument.
@Replies.Delete.SometimesIDKy He didn't mess anything, though?
All he said is that they are both returning moves from SF5, which they are.
@@mappybc6097
Except KKZ isn’t in SFV. And he said Misogi was in Kage’s VT1, which is wrong.
@@mappybc6097
He got the name of the V-Trigger correct but the wrong V-Trigger. (It’s Kage’s VT2 not VT1.)
Akuma(SHIN AKUMA) was doing move 1 since *Capcom vs SNK 2* and Move 2 since *SF 3rd Strike* . None if them are a call back from Kage/SF5💀
This is like how games used to be
So he eats a rice bowl becomes Shin Akuma with street 1:13 fighter 3 and SNK variant moves
How funny it is this “gaming journalist” never heard of SF 3rd Strike and assumed it’s a SF 5 callback.
I'm sure he knows about 3rd Strike, he just played V a lot more than 3.
@@Alex_Logan22 stop defending them in the replies, he's straight up wrong and you're annoying for defending it.
@@xacmashe3852
Never said he wasn't wrong nor defended.
IGN, you got this wrong. One of the super moves stemmed from Street Fighter 3, 3rd strike and Capcom vs Snk 2. Not street fighter V.
Akuma has 6 supers not 7. If you're counting the level 3 CAs, than everyone else has 4 not 3, so either way this is incorrect.
Needed to see this while another Akuma was doing it mid-match in rank lol
How do you press the buttons can you please be more specific
1:07 no it's not it's from Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike... 😅
IGN knows nothing about Akuma. These supers are from CvS2 and SF3 respectively. They also forgot to mention his 3rd secret move.
The rice ball does not power him up. What powers him up is when you challenge him to battle while he is relaxing.
Do you think you can get away with doing the taunt by doing it immediately after hitting them with a move that sends them in the air and getting them dizzy?
no, still too slow
I’d say it’s more of a call back to his own super as shin akuma in capcom vs snk2 before kage
Ign this first move is not from street fighter V originaly but capcom vs snk 2
Quick question:
Do these secret supers work with Modern controls or do you absolutely need to play with Classic controls?
the dude never played SF3 or even SVC Chaos to know where did those super moves originated
Another case of IGN people not knowing wtf they’re talkin about
Kongou Kokuretsu Zan is from Street Fighter 3..
Do these moves stay unlocked or do you have to do this all the time
Oh, that’s cool but how do you unlock him in the world tour mode?
What a bad vid. The first secret super is shin Gouki on CVS 2 and the second is from SF3s
It's not sfv lmao the 2nd super is from 3rd strike kokun...something.
It's not working for me...
Same. He won't eat a rice ball. Makes me suspicious about this vid lol
Can you do the supers on modern controls and if so how?
Those supers are from SF3
Why does he look like Santa Claus if he got hit in te face by a metallic chair?
these are all older that sf5 lol

Damn, he said the supers originated from the wrong games. Taunt is pretty nice to look at but way too long in duration.
He didn't say they originated from V, just that they're in V.
