Behringer RD-9 Lo-Fi Session

I had the Behringer RD-9 here for writing a workshop about it. After creating a bunch of pattern which sounded like a TR-909 of course, i was wondering if you can use the Wave Designer together with the Low Pass Filter to make it sound less than a TR-909 (so that you can use it for more than typical House and Techno Beats).
Headphones are strongly recommended :)
