    This video is very informative but I do have a few general comments. FACT: Any tourist VISA is not guaranteed stay in any country, specifically US & Canada. The Immigration officer did his job in getting into more details and further investigating your stay since you've been back and forth to the US, doing your RUclips videos and such which results in getting payments, so technically it's an income generated visits. When the immigration officer made changes to your stay, that draft is what they think the max days you should be staying in the US based on their assessments. Considering the amount of money you have in your bank account to spend while in the US, which DOES NOT include any future deposit income as you claimed on this video. Knowing the inflation the past years, what the immigration commented that you don't have money, may be a result of their financial checks that you don't have ENOUGH money as a tourist regardless if you have a family or partner residing in the US. Yes, immigration may have tightened their policies, but knowing that there are more than 1 million illegal Filipino immigrants staying in the US, they should have done this since 30-40 years ago. Privileges given to anyone like a VISA's should not lead to entitlement.

    Every immigration officer is different. It has nothing to do with the color of the skin. Talk less when you go through immigration. Dami mo kasing sinabi pati jowa mo kasali pa. Of course they became suspicious. Ganyan din yung pamangkin ko. Pabalik balik siya dito with a tourist visa and each time he goes through immigration, iba iba ang questioning at treatment sa kanya. But I told him NOT TO VOLUNTEER any information. Answer the question ONLY!!! You talked too much. When you travel make sure you have a paper copy of your itinerary para makita nila kung gaano ka katagal dito. Besides, these immigration officers are trained. Don't under estimate them. The more you talk, the suspicious they become of you.

    My wife sister and her husband visited US in 2023 for the first time and spent 5 months. Just last week they came back to visit their daughter. No issues in the immigration. Your situation was that you spent more time in the US than outside in a year’s period. FYI Americans hate it when you laugh at them when they mispronounce non American names. You should thank the immigration officer for giving few weeks in the US. The officer is not obligated to grant entry to US anyone who has a visa. Pls stop highlighting that he is black. That’s borderline racism.

    Hi Francis. In many countries, if you say you're a social media influencer, especially on YT, or if customs and immigration sees that you're carrying camera equipment and more than 1 laptop and 1 tablet in your bag, it's considered a red flag because you're there to work. Everyone knows people get income on YT. You don't have a work visa. You're breaking the law. If you say that you're in the country to take care of someone, that's another red flag. They're thinking you're in the country to work as a caregiver or carer. You're breaking the law. If you don't have money to support yourself here, that's a red flag because it goes back to the fact that immigration thinks you're trying to work in the country illegally. I can't sympathize with your situation. You're not a citizen. Not only are you extending your stays in the country but, you're working illegally here. If you pulled this in someplace like New Zealand, they will deny entry and put you back on a plane to your country of origin the same day.

    My experience was the opposite of yours. I went to US on 05/12/24. The immigration officer, who was also of the same colour, only asked what was the reason of my visit, my main address while in the country and how much money I have (which is normal for my visa). After, the I.O. wished me well and even threw a joke. It was a very smooth and swift process.

The 6 months assurance of stay in United States if you’re given 6 months stamped upon entry. As a tourist every time you travel to US, you will be given enough stamped to stay up to 6 months if you’re lucky 🍀 Sometimes immigration officers looked at what type of B1 you’re given. Another red flag for them is kung malimit ang pagbalik mo sa US the immigration officers become suspicious na may intention ka mag work or overstay your visa. Even Canadians na di kailangan ng visa para pumasok ng US they experience being held in "secondary inspection" and even denied entry for this reason. Ang visa waiver for Canadians kasi is good for 6 months in a single year so dapat you shouldn't come back in the same year you last visited the US. Another factor to consider is hot topic ngayon sa Congressional hearings yung mga nag visa overstays on what steps the US can take to deter such practices and the fact that it's a well-known fact that there are around 250-300k TNTs dito at the moment.

    @TheQuijanos 8 дней назад +12

    Hi Francis, thank you for sharing your story. This may serve as a lesson to our kababayan or anyone who would like to enter the US as a tourist. I will share 3 scenarios too based from the experience of 3 people I know that were trying to enter the US and being held at the airport Immigration by the immigration officer.
    Story #1: A mom of my friend and their whole family visits US early last year, as they were in line through immigration check her mom was on her phone busy maybe updating family member that they’ve arrived but unfortunately she was held and being interrogated. Just her. Not the husband and children. After being held , the officer told her why they held her, that’s because she was hesitant to give her passport during the check. She cried a lot after being held for an hour.
    Lesson: when at the immigration check, be attentive, serious and sincere as you enter different country.
    Story #2: My friend went back to the US from PH vacation, she is a greencard holder, she was held at the airport because when the officer asked her about her employer and previous employer, she forgot to mention the other one. So they held her for an hour too to double check her status and full history here.
    Lesson: Be attentive talaga at truthful and remember everything you’ve declared in your history whether you are a gc holder or a tourist.
    Story #3: This friend of mine is a businessman, he applied B1/B2 and got approved. He declared at the time of application that he intent to stay in the US for 2 weeks but on his first trip to US he stayed here for 2 months which is still legal because as a tourist we all know that they are allowed to stay not more than 6 months straight in a year. But when he attempts to enter the US the second time after a year from his 1st trip, he was being held by the officer, he is a member of lgbt too and he thinks the officers is tripping him. But I don’t think so because I read one immigration law that once you did not follow what you declare during application, it’s already a red flag, and take note, they have your records, all the dates you enter and out from the US, they have it in the system. And if you didn’t follow what you declare, that’s already a red flag to them. So when he was on the immigration room, he answered everything too, showed his coachella ticket, hotel booking, return ticket and even tried to borrow his phone but he refused. He knows his right by the way because he’s being truthful and no intent of over staying. He even showed his instagram to prove them that he was really traveling aside from the US. The 3rd time he entered the US again after a year of his 2nd trip, he got held again. And again, he proved them wrong because he plan to stay for a month. But again the officer is very suspicious with him,but they still released him after that. And when 1 officer returned his passport, he asked politely, why is everytime he enters the US it was always like that, the officer said, “I’ll give you a hint, the more you stay long in the US, the more they will interrogate you.”
    Lesson: be truthful about the length of your stay during the application, though plans may change anytime but they are very strict if young people especially the “working age” people as they stay long here in the US. Because for them, if young and working, they can only stay 2-3 weeks and that’s it. For elders who plan to visit their family and would like to stay 3-5 months, that’s doable, but some would say do not let it reach up to 6 months as it may not good on the record. And they would come back after 10-12 months to prove that you don’t have a job here , because if you come back after 3-6 months after staying here for that long, they will suspect that you’re working here. So it’s a red flag again. I hope everyone will have an idea through your situation and the stories I shared. God bless everyone ☺️🙏🏻

My friend was a under H1B visa before and we don’t know what happened but the her employer that time told her that her visa was accidentally withdrawn and that she needed to exit the US and back to the PH while the employer’s lawyer was working her case then after a couple of months when her working visa was ok she went back here and work until the new employer petitioned us for a gc. When she got a chance to visit PH she’s already a gc holder, going outside US is fine but upon entering here that was the time she was asked a couple of questions. Maybe because of her history of withdrawn visa. She was asked about her current and previous employer. But unfortunately she just mentioned the current and forgot to mention previous one. Because she was caught off guard too, she didn’t even think that she will be asked those questions knowing that she’s already a gc holder.

    I watched your video po, and I don't think the immigration officer was singling you out because you laughed at him. It seems more likely that it was related to your visa category and your responses during the interview. The B1 and B2 visas are meant for tourist purposes, while the K1 visa is for fiancé(e)s. The immigration officer was likely just verifying that the purpose of your visit po aligned with your visa type.

Remember na kasama ang Pinas sa mga bansa na source ng maraming illegal immigrants sa US sa ngayon.

He can even get married here on the same tourist visa but he needs to go back to the Philippines and wait for his immigrant visa there. What's frowned upon is while on a tourist visa, getting married then filing for adjustment of status to get a green card without leaving the US, even though many Filipinos got their legal immigration status here that way because immigration allows it as long as you're married to a US citizen and entered the country legally on a visa. What's not allowed by the tourist visa is working here. If caught, the tourist is subject to arrest, detention, then deportation, specially under Trump's hardline policy towards illegal immigrants.
