Tcha-badjo. Tap dance and live acoustic jazz music concert and show to middle jazz, mainstream, swing, gipsy jazz, jazz manouche, bebop. Music and dance improvisation. Lausanne, Switzerland, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Grenoble, France. Jean Russell (double bass + singing), Damien Levasseur (guitar + singing), Charles Fréchette (guitar +singing), Laurent Bortolotti (tap dance).
Funny story: I showed this video to my flatmate because she didn't know gipsy jazz. Two days later I went to a gipsy jazz jam session and when I walked into the pub, Charles, the guitarist on the left was playing on the stage :) Now he's my guitar teacher ^_^
I thought you were gonna say that the guitarist on the stage was your flatmate. LOL

Mr.doodly Dodo I’m a music noob, I was really really trying to hear the bass in this , but I really can’t hear anything over the other instruments, so what’s his point in this band ?
@@raresuta5895 you can hear it with headphones on. It's really hard for small speakers or cheap microphones to pick up or play bass.
I love the bass, so I have extremely bassy headphones for whenever I'm studying bassists and basslines. Try listening with headphones, it might do the trick.
tap dancing isn't shown as much love as it used too its such a great form of art

Wonderful, all of you! One sad thing is that when we played on the streets like this 30 years ago we jammed the entire street for everybody was in awe by seeing a live music band. It seems that people are spoiled, bored or whatever they have on their minds... Keep on doing this guys, really great stuff and when I would pass you guys I would be happy to be too late for my date! :-)

In genres like Bluegrass and Country, which I play mostly within, percussion doesn't get a lot of love, so it's nice to see that the rhythm section is able to really shine here. Super talented guys, I see a lot of similarities with other styles that allow for every musician to get an equal part of the action.
The bass line is amazing.

Maybe they just practiced every day an hour or two for 10-20 years. They didn't magically become great musicans in a day.

Why are you comparing two different genres
I love jazz, but rock also has a lot of elements that things that swing can’t offer. Doesn’t mean that one is better than the other, just different. Classical music is also amazing music that could never do things that jazz does because it’s entirely a different music with different history and culture. At the end of the day none of that matters, it all boils down to what you; the listener enjoys and prefers the most
