Saying it wasn’t very good is giving it a compliment. It was straight up trash that followed around an extremely unlikeable “person of color”….who was a “female” yet looked like an androgynous male ….who had terminal cancer…..who was in hospice…..with a fkn stupid cat……I can’t even begin to explain how badly I wanted her and everyone in the film to be annihilated by the monsters. It was one of the biggest wastes of 1.5hrs I’ve ever spent.
“Alien: DEImulus “ was so bad that it actually ruined the lore of the first two movies. I can’t grasp the idea that anyone liked or even praised the film for being anything other than pure trash.
The 1st three quarters of Longlegs was great, but the motive reveal was such a let down. As a Gen Xer who lived through the “satanic panic” era, I find myself rolling my eyes at that kind of storyline. Props to Nicolas Cage though, his performance was top notch!
Seen all of these except for Strange Darling as it hasn't been released yet in the UK. I would have put Immaculate on the list, that was a bad ass cinema watch! That ending...woah!! AND Lisa Frankenstein was also brilliant!
In a Violent Nature has too much walking scene from Johny the killer. Bored the h out of me. I think it just portrays the very phrase “here comes johny” 😅
Overrated not , its genuily the 2024 horror best , whether it is for the fact that other horror movies failed to deliver or whatever , once you watched it you get the sense you saw something that maybe you cant put your finger on ..but it stays with you nonetheless, and thats something movies like the changeling, event horizon, get out , can get to pull off on our collective imaginary
I totally agree, I don't know why everyone seems to think it's so brilliant. I don't even think I finished it. It could be I get my hopes up from all the buzz before seeing it & once I do it rarely if ever, lives up to the hipe.😂
I’m has to edit this because I hadn’t gotten to your number one movie - Strange Darling. Absolutely my favorite movie of the year. Not just horror but just the best. I hope word of mouth really makes it blow up.
I cant believe they are making a sequel to In A Violent Nature. I will give it credit for a great concept, beautiful cinematography and one of the best kills ive ever seen. Other than that, the story had huge holes in it, it was poorly acted, random things happen with no explanation, and the worst, most drawn out, nonsensical ending that had zero bearing on the overall plot of the movie. Watch at your own risk.
I seen a few strange darling comments.. that movie was so bad😭, genuinely, I was so mad that entire time, I knew exactly what was gunna happen next and then next after that the whole time, no character made a single good decision at all, like I’m talking not even just bad decisions either.. like actually stupid, nonsensical decisions that no human would make🤣, I actually feel like making my first yt video juss to rant about the movie.

Ugh, in a violent nature, it was the most boring horror movie I've seen to date. The pacing was really bad. The effects were good, and the gore was also good, but god, the pacing is terrible.
Strange how all these lists have longlegs in it very highly rated. Seems we may have a case of copy and paste cuz that movie is lame and no kind of fresh.
The top 3 I have seen so far: 1. Late Night With the Devil 5/5 - Great at everything 2. Maxxxine 4/5 - This is not scary but it is fun with amazing 80s atmosphere 3. Longlegs 3.5/5 - Ok movie, could be better with a bigger budget But according to new reviews "The Substance" seems really promising. People call it the best horror of the 2024 so far. I have not seen it
Disagree. 1. Late Night would have been okay if not for the hoakiness when "all hell" breaks loose. 2. Maxxine was a huge disappointment. Not only was it not scary, but the end was absurd and completely laughable. By far the worst of the trilogy. 3. Longlegs was another needlessly convoluted story. Im assuming the lead character was supposed to be stoic but she came off more like a creep. Unlike better made thrillers where you see them figuring out a cypher or code and you can follow along with how they came to their conclusion, this one made no sense. I must have rewatched her working those symbols about 4 times and there was no thread leading to her conclusions except that it was written into the script. I've been very disappointed this year. I'm hoping Substance and Strange Darling redeem the season's fare.
@@isabeljimenez6067 I liked the Maxxxine the best of the trilogy and Pearl the least. It was a somewhat a surreal movie. Longlegs trailer was much more promising than the movie itself. The First Omen was pretty ok. But failed to really capture the spirit of the Original. Better off just sticking with the Original trilogy. Abigail wasn't a horror movie it was comedy.
@@hyperbloq5163 I disagree however I didn't go in super high expectations and already knew what to expect with oz Perkins vision. As far as his filmography goes it ranks number one with Gretel and Hansel or the black costs daughter constantly shifting around as my 2nd favorites. I noticed people who grew up with a Catholic or any type of styring religious traditions found long legs effectively terrifying especially when I let it settle after watching. I recognized the characters as people I've ran into and the feeling that opening scene gave me sticks in my brain even causing a few nightmares here and there. But hey that's my opinion.

“A quiet place: day one” is one of the biggest jokes and DEI shit-shows I’ve ever watched.
