Nicely done, but I don't believe it. I just don't. Also, this feeds into the narrative that being half of a couple is the default, and it's not. The default is singledom. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I am healthier, more successful, more productive, more giving to the world, stronger, happier, and more at peace with just me. At 55, after plenty of relationships, including a marriage, I can honestly and with bold clarity say my "someone" is me.
Nope. Life is unfair that it's fair. There's a kid who grows up in a privileged family and excels with a college degree and there's another kid who has to run away from his war-torn country only to drown on the shores of another. It is what it is. Some have and some don't and that's how the world is round.
There isn't someone there for everyone now that women don't have to marry for survival. If you are an outsider or deep thinker or have a high IQ or you have mental illness then it is unlikely you will find someone. If people were honest with kids and tod them this and so much time and hurt could have been saved for many.
Maybe you are running behind for someone,who's not your someone & maybe someone's waiting for you to be their someone.Is it too complicated to be someone's?
