DCA - Just got your pocket tango in the mail and gotta say, I’m a changed man. First fixed blade outside of a toolbox for me. Perfect pocket slip. Always love the videos and wanted to support a pro at their work.
Love the history behind the boker 4:40. I may get it just for that reason. Thank you for the very nice, well titled chapters. Makes going through a 40 min video so easy. I wish more content creators would do this more often.
DCA- really enjoyed the "banter" between you and Ben on the Knafs channel. Very informative and interesting. As always I appreciate your passion for knives.
I recently added the Shipwrecked Engraved McNess Mac2 Auto to my collection and I freaking love that knife. Been wanting a McNees for quite awhile now and I'm happy to say it does not disappoint now that I finally have one. I honestly didn't realize how much of a tank it was until I got it in hand. Needless to say, it's been my go to EDC folder since I got it about 3 weeks ago. It's also my first knife in Magnacut. I only sharpened it once when I first took it out of the packaging and it's still going strong after cutting open 100s of ingredient bags and cutting up at least 150 boxes with it. it had a nice edge from the factory, but I always put my own mirror polished edge on every knife I get new regardless of how good the factory edge is.
I've been waiting for that Boker Sleeve Dagger to release. I love daggers and historical blades, so that's an easy win for me. I also really like the looks of that Boker Coffin! A little steep for my wallet, but I might talk myself in it...
It's the highlight of the fun of watching this series when you connect with something you didn't know about and so you get a new discovery and the added newness to the enjoyment amps up the fun
Work Tuff knives are built to work hard. Although the newer ones come with coloured handles etc. and look a bit fancy, don't be fooled. I have two WT fixed blades and I take them with me when I know I'm going to need to do some chopping and brush clearing etc. Easy to recommend. Take care.
And for once I'm watching a new knives video, while one of said new knives is sitting next to me on my desk. The Baby Banter FB is a great little knife; I can't wait for someone to make a custom pocket sheath for it!
I would also be interested in the thickness of the blades, but it is usually only shown from the side and quickly turned over to the other side. If possible, show it sometimes, please! Thank you!
That SOG is nice but why should I pay extra for scales I won’t use? This is for people who can’t decide what color they want. They should make this model available in 3 different colors like most knives.
DCA as always excellent content, well structured and just a joy to whatch. Recently got myswlf a petrifued fish beluga. Great knife! What would you recommend for larger than average hands as a companion to the beluga.
For spear points, It's to do with how the tip of the blade aligns with the pivot & centreline of the handle when open. Traditional spear point blades look like spears, that is , the top half of the blade mirrors the bottom half and they have a distinct centreline along the blade from the pivot to tip. Both edges may or may not be sharpened. Modern spear points are a bit more varied & the top and bottom may not be mirrored, however, when looked at side-on the tip will be in line with the centreline of the pivot & knife handle. The focus of a spear point is stabbing & penetrating (like a spear). For drop points, it's to do with how the tip of the blade aligns with the spine of the blade. When looked at side-on, the tip of a drop point is lower than the spine with the drop being created by a downward curve. (FYI - If the drop is created by a straight line then it's a 'clip point'. If the point is in line with the spine it's a 'straight back' and if the tip is higher than the spine it's 'trailing point'.) The focus of a drop point is cutting & slicing. There are plenty of diagrams on line to assist with these descriptions. Of the two, drop points are by far more versatile in terms of use. Unless you have a specific need for the stabbing power of a spear point I would recommend going with the drop point. Hope this helps.
Matter fact! Thinking about it now, I find that civivi makes their "small" fixed blades WAYYYY TOO SMALL! I keep thinking of that mini kukri (that's almost pointless)
Another Chinese heavy episode. Blown away that the SOG was US made. I love that case, but it's too expensive. Seems like a safe queen. I have folders more expensive, of course, but modern designs/steel. Nice vid
Hmm. Well dang. I love my baby banter a TON, and was looking forward to the fixed blade to come out but, I feel like it missed the mark a bit. Dunno why, just looks like it wasn't the same....
I don't understand how the ANV works. Why doesn't the flipper collide with the cross barr during the opening?. Hey, Knife Center staff, I would like to thank you for your work, I follow the channel from Italy, and I rarely comment because I'm quite annoyed by the new models of the last years, nothing really interesting for me, but you do a great work as always. Have a good day.
You don't cover Victorinox enough. It is an exceptional off-hand pocket knife. Especially the Huntsman; the saw is exceptional for sawing through a cervid's pelvis to get the poop chute out in one piece. Then you can use the scissors to trim the hang nails on your delicately manicured fingers. It fits anyone's needs.
I’m getting more into woodworking and I’ve been looking for a good knife I could edc that would be good at cleaning up mortises and tenons. Do you have any recommendations?
@@knifecenter Boker Sleeve Spike. I was going to do a reveal on my channel, compare it to the cruciform bayonets in my collection, do a little strike testing… you know, the usual.
Mr. DCA: "festooned with ornamentation"; "signing out" if the show is continuing with a different crew; "signing off" is when the show is ending. Mr. Gray Bull: a bit of pallor of the hands, may be worth a check by your doctor for anemia.
GOSH darn your David C. Anderson. I’ve got bills to pay, a family to feed! Don’t do this to me nowwww! ::actually if I can cut a quarter of all meals for a week from everyone including the pets then….yes….yes than I can free up a couple $ HA OKAY show me this weeks beauties::
Update: We've heard from Case regarding their Damascus steel, and confirmed it is a 1080/Nickel composition.
Thanks for caring and following through for our benefit
Not generally a fan of Case knives, but geez that maple burl wood set against the Damascus blade is just beautiful.
DCA - Just got your pocket tango in the mail and gotta say, I’m a changed man. First fixed blade outside of a toolbox for me. Perfect pocket slip. Always love the videos and wanted to support a pro at their work.
Thank you very much sir! -DCA
That tiny Kansept with the teal blade just screams gas station to me
All I heard was im wittle
You could call that Boker dagger a Harmacist's knife
Very clever!
Was literally here to write that!

Kansept should win an award for making the largest variety of the most boring knife designs from a single company 🤣
I heard the Kansept Tarkin was not popular on Alderaan...
It wasn't the blast they were looking for.

Hey DCA, thanks for taking extra time with actual new knives. So many other “new” knives are simply old knives with new steel, handles or finishes.
Love the flipper+crossbar lock. More companies should do that.
Sick of civivi 35 knives released per month button ¥
That WorkTough fixed blade looks gnarly. I'll bet that could last just about forever with good upkeep, for most of us anyways

Both the Boker dagger and Coffin slipjoint are beautiful, I love me a pokey blade.
Praktisk means practical in Norse David.
Love that knurling!
Can you spidey flick that sog seal yet? “Don’t be ridiculous” -DCA
That Civivi yonder is giving me HK mini axis vibes
C'mon man, Chinese would never shamelessly copy anything from the west... Never ever....
Easily my favorite has to be the 710.but I love the purple bug out as I'm trying to find a 5th pocket knife
Yeah!! The coolest part of the week!!🎉🎉🎉
I wish I would have seen that Year of the Snake Huntsman at Knife Center first. But I ordered it from SMKW. It is really sweet
Nice that Boker.
that kancept tarkin looks good

That ANV knife is really cool! I’m looking a long time for that brand, but didn’t buy one till yet. But this one might be with me soon
Thomas, was that a Spaceballs reference??
Oh I really like the design on that kansept osprey! If they ever make a bigger version of it I might have to get one.
The Banter is nice but the Acta non verba is beautiful !! ^^
The 007 OTF resembles the SOE lapel daggers from WW2.
17:33 That made me feel icky 😬😖🫣
Thomas, my calendar says it is October 24th (day after my birthday) Boilerplate always gets you sometimes.
Think of all those watching tomorrow.

That mini corvid version is definitely made from repurposed dessert warriors that didnt sell 🤣🤣
Sencut Praktisk, that’s practical in Swedish. In 2024 even a Chinese knife company would name their product exactly like IKEA, lol 😄
warnto made me laugh out loud a little bit. Thanks 😂

Yonder as a thumbnail Yikes… “they aren’t sending their best”
Spear point vs drop point what's the difference where's the line between them

Need a banter frame button lock next

Nice vid
The SOG SEAL XR Ti is still too heavy. You could carry a leatherman skeletool and a mora and end up with a lighter weight package
Hmm. Well dang. I love my baby banter a TON, and was looking forward to the fixed blade to come out but, I feel like it missed the mark a bit.

I like that first fixed blade!
sk-5 or n690 for 150? lol (this is scam), srk in sk-5 is @40 (I bought it on sale for28)
Need more crossbars with flipper tabs. Loved those but out of my budget.
I love the Ben Banters Civivi designs, but it turns me away that they usually refuse to do a black hardware on stainless steel look everytime...
"crush pills with it" lol.... My man.
That little Rocket OTF shows as discontinued on the link.

I mean, we just did a dedicated video on Victorinox about a month ago??? Here: ruclips.net/video/CUKeIq1oF8U/видео.html

For what?
@@knifecenter Boker Sleeve Spike. I was going to do a reveal on my channel, compare it to the cruciform bayonets in my collection, do a little strike testing… you know, the usual.
Thoughts on the White River M1 as the best all around knife? EDC, camp prep, food prep and defense?
Check out Bestech Hedron before.
I think it's more practical and really good looking "classical" knife
Love mine to bits, gets carried pretty much every day and has never let me down.
Sog stepping it up lol
That sog is a great deal. I bet Kougue made it for them
I’d still like to see more baby banter wharncliffe variants
6:10 When will then be now?
Soon!
Just missed it..
damn........ 2024 is the year of the dragon and I thought they were in stock....... guess not.
I DON'T do kiddy knives. That's why that Acta Non Verba Hard Task Flipper is just my speed.
Thanx for the video my Bladed Brother 👍 ⚔️ ✝️ 🇺🇲
when are ur manix 2 magnacut coming in
Baby banter fixed blade lets hope we/civivi makes a big banter fixed blade DCA great video man
Does anyone know if DCA was a math major in college ?
What are the pending knife rewards points on your website?
"Praktisk" is practical in Danish
$315 for that little OTF! I guess "shrinkflation" has finally hit the knife industry
Sezzle doesn't like my bank. That option will not help you empty my pockets.

Tent stake.
