I think YSL La Nuit De L’Homme is an OG and still garners positive attention. It is a classic and versatile.
Fragrances don't become outdated. That's a sales tactic used to encourage people to try new products. YSL Opium pour homme, Givenchy Pi, Issey Miyake, etc are all still amazing. The industry shifted away from powerful fragrances. Funnily enough the niche market started to grow because people wanted the strength of the older fragrances back. LNDL is timeless. It's spicy, sexy, and powdery and lingers just close enough to make people want to get closer to you.

Just getting into fragrances at 24 and honestly I prefer the idea of having fragrances associated with an older group of people. I feel like it stands out compared to everyone else around me
When I was 19 in 2009, I was wearing the original Paco Rabanne and people loved it. Not one person ever told me I smell outdated.

I hadn't smelled this until late 2021 after getting into RUclips fragrance videos. Because of all the hype, I went to Macy's and smelled it. I purchased it immediately!!!
I have my same bottle from 2010. I bought it for our wedding/honeymoon. I wear it on our anniversaries and special occasions. I absolutely love it, my wife loves it. This bottle is only half gone because I only use it as a scent between me and my wife. Of my 20+ bottles, it's not a daily driver, but it is forever top shelved for me.
never outdated !! cardamom bombs will always be people pleasers!! i really think in the frag comm we think some of these fragrances as super popular but i rarely smell la nuit d l homme on anyone around here! to the frag comm it may be overdone but to 99% of the rest of the world it's a compliment getter/just an all around amazing affordable designer scent that competes with many niche!
also i TOTALLY agree with ya on green irish tweed! the cool water association is basically obsolete now cuz so much time has passed! i think vetiver and GIT vibes are def more for older men and aren't my vibe but i respect the hell out of the composition!
lastly, ur dead on' the old versions of this were STTTROOOONG! this suffered the same fate as aventus and the reformulation has not messed with the smell, but has altered the performance but i carry an atomizer with me so i don't care haha

I was 16 when I first bought this fragrance and it has been my signature scent ever since, I am now 18
I heard newer batches have lowered longevity so I got the flanker bleu electrique and have really enjoyed that.
YSL La Nuit De L'homme is a very difficult bottle to obtain here in the Philippines. After hearing so much good thing about it from your channel, I immediately went to Duty Free and I heard as soon as stock gets available, people hoard it for themselves. Fortunately, a tester was available and as soon as the store personnel sprayed it on my wrist, I FELL IN LOVE. So yeah, ever since that day I couldn't get it out of my head. I really hope I get one someday. 🙏🏻
I ordered mine after watching your review of LNDL. It just arrived an hour ago and I am loving it so so much. Very subtle, thick, pleasant and smooth scent. I CANNOT STOP SMELLING IT ..❤

My sister gave me a compliment on it and she never does. It smells so freaking good.
Moderately spikey with cardamom spice and black pepper yet given freshness nd some roundness with lavender, bergamot, and vetiver. Well blended to create a sensual almost relaxed feeling like how burning incense makes me feel but alluring enough that'll make someone want to continuously smell it. Dry, herbaceous, musk, skin feeling scent.
Just sprayed it on my arm watching this video. One of the first fragrances in my collections so i haven’t worn in a while. Still amazing

Just bought this last week! I love it. I’m a woman as well. Just wish the performance lasted longer.
I bought it for an ex back in 2013. I claimed it for myself and have been rocking it ever since. Its my go-to regardless of how much my collection has expanded. Its magic! I love when you talk about this fragrance. It deserves all the love it gets.
Jokes aside, this will be one of the best fragrances ever created. I own 2009 formulation and also another 2022 batch and the performance of 2022 batch is not bad at all in my case. I can still smell it 5-6 hours around myself and the way this wraps around me is pure magic. I have never come across someone that disliked this. And I am sure I never will. Who dislikes this is simply out of this planet 😂
I agree with you when it comes to disliking such scent. I think wearing this fragrance in a date would be 100% amazing. By the way, have you ever smelled Naxos from Xerjoff? I know it's a very good one but never smelled it, people used to say it's the perfect fragrance for dating somebody, but considering the price I don't know if it would be as good as La Nuit. what's your thoughts on that one?

@@Nathan-yo3fk to be honest, it smells way fuller, richer and creamier. Everything is amplified and the performance as well, but the current batches are still great.
The prices are crazy for the 1st formulation. You can easy get a niche fragrance with the same price.
electrique the non blue version gets hella compliments for me! never wore the og though
I’m a guy and I loved it so much that I got it for my husband for Christmas. It’s just so good and sexy. And nope, I had never smelled it before until last month. When I first smelled it, I knew I had to get it. That and YSL L’Homme EDP and Montblanc Explorer.
I tried many designer and niche fragrances but those are the ones that just did it for me.
Something fun. Do you have a daily scent that snobs might consider outdated? List your favorite classics. I've been collecting and discovering older fragrances especially from the 90's. I think the most unique is Issey Miyake L'eau D'issey. Anything Alberto Morillas or Jacques Cavalliere created is typically gold.
Still smells amazing to me. I've been looking for a niche fragrance that reminds me of this or a similar vibe. The best one with similar vibe I've found so far is Gris Charnel.

I recently bought it and it instantly became like an addiction to me. I don’t give a shit the performance is like a body mist, nobody will complain that you tossed the whole bottle on.
In my experience, people can still smell it just fine even when you can't. It seems to cause olfactory fatigue rather quickly. Probably because it smells so good, you end up sniffing yourself constantly. Then people wonder why it becomes a skin scent.

Great scent, I wasn't using it for a moment. Past few days I was wearing La Nuit de Lhomme Bleu Electric, and today I'm rocking EDT.
And I love both of them. And while I enjoy BE, EDT give me that mouth watering feeling.
EDP is not my cup of tea.
La Parfume is great too, but separete itself from EDT/BE
Nahhh fragrance dont get outdate. I still rockin my Versace Blue Jeans as my normal day usage. Smelt it on my dad since I was kid, loved it in my twenties. Cheap, smells good, and average performance.
