This is extremely helpful! I will definitely think further on the point of defining success as a dancer. I have a story that speaks directly to phobia of mistakes: I remember being told something extremely crazy in highschool that I thought back then wasn’t, but in hindsight it most definitely was, as well as a misguided scare tactic 😂. So I went to a performing arts middle & high school. That’s where I got and started a lot of my dance training. We had a particular performance coming up in my modern class, and at this point we were either starting tech or dress rehearsals for the entire production, and I don’t remember what it was now, but the principal of our school - not even our teacher, nor a dancer, told us that if we mess up during the our performance , it will stick out so badly, it will ruin any type of good qualities in the dance that may have come before and after the mistake and the audience will forget all the good things about the dance and just focus on/remember the mistake. Talk about pressure 😂. Listening to people now, who were actually professional dancers helped me to realize mistakes are normal and it’s all in how you handle and finesse them, I’m so thankful for your channel, I wouldn’t have gotten to where I am now with you sharing your wisdom and guidance ♥️🫶🏽
@@KayAlexandria283 Thank you SO much for taking the time to share!! I am really grateful to hear that my videos have encouraged you and played a part in your journey ❤️
Kristen I love the content of your videos, but could you please upgrade the sound as it has a lot of echo which makes listening harder and a bit annoying..
@@euphemiaprotopapas4220 Yes, I totally agree with you and have purchased a new external mic and am still figuring out how to adjust the settings properly! Thank you for your comment and for your patience 🙏🏻
