I have been really struggling to add riffs to my playing. I'm not very good at playing spontaneously or with imagination, so improvisation (on which riffs seem to rely heavily) is a real challenge for me. These four tools look very manageable and I think I can play them. Lisa - you're awesome.

I've been playing piano for 14 years, you are by far the best at explaining key concepts and not OVER-explaining things. One thing that has absolutely changed the way I teach is a quote I heard from the channel, World Drum Club. He explains that we should let the music speak for itself, stop trying to use words the students have never heard. Music is its own language, you need to introduce the big words and theory slowly, build on concepts. You do practice this concept perfectly!
I have been learning how to play by only having chords the past couple years, but in the past month of finding you, I have learned so much more than I did trying to figure it out on my own.
Being creative with chores is way different than just sight reading!
