One highly important thing I have learned from you Immy is to take pride in our strengths and to celebrate what we feel is “our thing”. Whether it be stunningly beautiful curly hair, a hobby, fitness, reading, cooking, raising a family, volunteering, or ?? It’s so empowering to take pride in something we feel passionate about. I’m an inspiring and energetic teacher. I feel the power of this, and you remind us to embrace our strengths while still trying new things, learning about the world, and focusing on opportunities. Your message is subtle, unique, and empowering. Many deep thanks for this!! Have a relaxing weekend my friend. 🌎💦Ⓜ️ary💕
Love these comments, Mary, and I totally agree. I personally often fall short of embracing my own power, so it's good to be inspired by others like you and Immy. ♥♥
Jennifer Rose Nyc and some other licenced stylists are saying leave-in is unnecessary and shampoo, conditioner and a styler are all that’s needed as well as very regular trims and diffusing hair completely dry to prevent frizz. No oils, butters, masks , etc. they say oils are actually drying as they stop water getting in and can build up on the hair. I’ve loved this method, especially for simplifying things, which is not what we’re raised with as people with curly/coily/textured hair. it’s not what most people say, but might be worth considering.
As a fellow curly girl you going to the gym once your hair is washed (and looking wonderful) really gets me! Completely agree about not learning about how to care for my hair - our hair is pretty much identical - and it has taken me a long time to get used to styling it, looking after it and seeing my face with curls. It’s definitely a learning curve.
Haha it’s only because for me it’s really long at the moment and I find it gets in the way so I end up putting it up anyway. But I’ve been using satin hair ties from Only Curls and it has CHANGED the game. My hair looks so normal after using them.
As it is for many of us here watching this video today… I have a lot going on in my life right now. I remind myself of the importance of keeping everything in perspective and to embrace the positive moments in each day. This morning I got the simplest pleasure from making my coffee and enjoying every sip of that rich comforting brew from my snowman mug ☃️. You’re such a great role model for me Immy… and I really feel the importance of indulging in what you have to share with us today. Thank-you for this, and thank-you for making those real connections with those of us here in Viewer Land. You are gently powerful… and I love that about you!!! 🌎💦Ⓜ️ary💕
Well said, Mary! Your words are true...and I haven't even watched the video yet! ;) But I think Immy is lovely, her voice is calming, and her lifestyle is a good example for us all. ♥♥♥
As a fellow dry-tight-curly-haired gal, your hair looks gorgeous, Immy! I need to get my hands on these products, just can't seem to find them in France :(
Sorry... Did I hear 30th birthday? !? I was convinced that you were mid 20s! I love your content and am beginning my zero waste journey, your focus is amazing, I especially appreciate the emphasis not being on aesthetics despite your beautiful videos
I have the same hair texture as you (fellow thick CURLY head), and for some reason I really did not like Rhyme and Reason. I wanted to so badly but it was just awful for my hair. Also I tried a conditioner bar from Hibar and that was equally disappointing. So far the only brand that's seemed to have been good for my hair has been the Color Kind line from Good Dye Young (a vegan/cruelty free brand). Their bottles are recyclable, but I still wish they could do more. Although, they are a smaller independent brand so I'm hoping they can focus on improving their packaging in the future.
OH but I will say the Rhyme and Reason curly conditioner (I just used as my curling cream) WAS AMAZING. It was just the shampoo and conditioner that wasn't doing it for me.
I really enjoyed this video and would love to see more slowed down style videos from you. Would you be able to share your hair journey from straightening it to allowing your natural curl to come back? My hairdresser mentioned I have naturally curly hair and I've tried the curly girl method but found it just felt heavy and greasy.
I love rhyme and reason! It smells very delicately pretty and it’s a great in between for me and my boyfriend; I’m all about sustainability but he adamantly refuses shampoo bars. I also love how easily available they are here in the us- I can find it at a very reasonable price at target :) I’m happy they sponsored you, and your hair looks happy about it too! Sending you love!
I just took a selfie yesterday of my curls and sent it to my best mates on our chat thread and said the same thing. I wish I knew how to work and style my waves/curls when I was a girl and in my 20’s. I’m 41 and I feel like I just figured it out 😆 and I agree with your sentiments too, social media wasn’t around so thus I was clueless. Hey, ever try an inexpensive straightener in 1997 and wonder why your hair doesn’t look as beautiful as Jennifer Aniston in Friends? Because that was me 😆✌️live and learn.
This is my favorite type of video of yours, Immy. I love the relaxing atmosphere you bring, and just being able to chat with you. It feels like I get to chat with you anyway, even though I'm not actually there.
A very chill video today...as if all my videos aren't pretty much super chill.. haha
I love super chill videos, Immy. ♥ And yours are always lovely. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Mwaaaaah! ♥

When I saw you adding the cheese I thought "why does she does that it, she doesn't like it'! Haha
Your curls

@@jemma50 Thanks so much Jemma. You are so kind, and it’s really great to see you here today. Ⓜ️ary
@@marycharlebois6627 It's always good to see you here, too, Mary. I don't read all the comments, but I always look for yours. ♥
ahhh yes the Bake Off 😊
Your voice is so calming 😌
Immy, make a New Year's resolution - not to buy vegan cheese anymore :D

re curls: works well
My nails got 1 000 times stronger once I stopped using nail polish. Maybe it was the remover, but something in the process dried my nails a lot.
For me it’s definitely the remover! Whenever I go a few weeks without nail polish (and therefore nail polish remover) my nails get healthier. ❤️🩹

I also don’t really like vegan cheese! Rachel Ama has an incredible cheese sauce recipe which I now use instead!
