My fiancee and I reunited 33 years after parting ways. Similar to this story, he and I met in Tallahassee when I was 14 and he 16. We grew up together though did not date until I was 19. Some time after splitting up, he moved to Sacramento, CA and I never saw him again or had any contact until 2018. He moved back to Florida in 2020 and we could not be happier. He is the absolute love of my life.

This sounds like it was the right timing and meant to be.
My x husband had just passed on and I was stunned and a little shocked. After hearing this news I could not date anyone for a while.
Two years later I met a man similar in character to my first love.
He also had lost someone at the same time as I did.
Just like you and your husband we feel like we have known each other for years.

Awesome couple. Amazing their faces never changed much at all. Seeing a couple at their age (same as mine) still hugging and holding hands shows one is never too old for it. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Such a sweet story 💕 Reading so many lovely comments about people being reunited with their early loves after so many years. Happy for them too...then I realize I’ve been alone over 25 years. Had to leave an abusive relationship with a baby, I never wanted to take a chance on repeating that or exposing my daughter to a creep - because you might think you know someone until you find out otherwise. Plus working, getting degrees and establishing my career while raising a healthy happy child took all my time and energy. My teen flame looked me up 50 yrs later, but he let me know right away he is with someone. I was kinda confussed as to why he ever looked me up. He even remembered my address. We are both older and he was 5 yrs older. Maybe we will meet again in our next life.

I did the like button and also hit the like for several comments. So pls don’t get me wrong here. Very happy for them. But very scary for married couples to try and connect with high school sweethearts. It’s not always what you think it will be.and once the connection is made it can also destroy families....even in happy families, as the allure of a youth love makes one feel younger. There’s someone I really care since college, I know where he’s at but I’m so nervous , and don’t have the gust to see him, I’m 75 and he is 78 year old He lives in Ventura, California and I live in the Gardena California about an hour and half . I wish I could see him in person again to see what he looks like.
Fate has a way of reuniting people who were meant to be.
I was torn from mine and then a few years later I ran into him again but it was at a time I was in a relationship with someone else and trying my best to stay away from my abusive father who had sexually abused me. I couldn't tell him what was going on and it resulted in him marrying someone else. Later on we chatted online and he told me I reminded him of the song unanswered prayers. It was soul crushing but I am confident God will make up for my sacrifice.

I was going through separation with my husband of thirty years. Sad times so go home to my happy place. Three thousand miles away. This time looked up my first love, high school sweetheart. We had a lovely day together. His advice to me was , "Go home and make it work. You have a beautiful family." Okay I'll try. Was away from home for a week. Well what's for supper? And don't you like the floor I fixed? Needless to say went through with the divorce. My high school sweetheart went on to another relationship and has since passed away. He will always be in my heart. You never forget your first love.

@@annae9013 After some relax from lockdown She got the dress gifted online by me to wear on valentine, due to some reason plan was failed, i was upset, She told me on 15th feb that she is coming to meet her family members - asked me to come to the airport to see her only as his brother will pick her, i was again upset - she was going back to her city on 20th, last hour i asked her details, booked same flight unfortunately not same seat, but spend good time with her without saying anything, at last she hug me i kissed her hand with a promise to meet again - after 23 years i heard my name very first time in her voice, after 23 yrs we talk - now again we both are facing lockdown in our cities - but sure we will meet again

My highschool sweetheart just broke up with me due to some mental health problems and family not liking me. We've been so happy together and still love each other and frankly I don't fully understand why she feels that this is best but I have to respect her decision.
