Enjoyed this 30 minute 2 minute recipe! :) You kept me company while I had a bowl of veggie soup and now I need to get out to the garden. We are due several days of rainy weather so I need to make the most of today. This winter I'll have fun rewatching your older videos of sowing nasturtiums to get some tips since it has never worked for me before. But after seeing your Poor Woman's Capers I need to make it happen next year. Thank you, Vivi...you are an excellent teacher and lunch companion.

Thankyou for the 'caper'recipe, Vivi. Here, they grow en masse most of the year, except during the dry, when they slow right down. I've been meaning to give them a test run for years but haven't as yet, due to being a caper nut already. So, as I have a patch on the bank that has just finished, I'll check to see if any are still green and give it a go. If not, I'll harvest some seed to scatter around the garden. Take care, Veronica. Vivi, just add some vinegar to the water when sterilizing your jar. I have hard water too. American canners do it all the time when canning. You realise when your jars are exposed to the air, it's no longer sterilized. But, it's wise to always sterilize the jars. I have never tasted cappers before so I have no idea how they taste.

I also put a few nasturtiums between my runner beans this year. But the beans have taken away the light, and the nasturtiums have broken after a short time.
I love small treats of this kind. I would imagine that some glass would not be able to get into the fridge because I would have eaten it out beforehand.
I'll try the beeswax wraps this winter, if I have a little more time.
I am very curious how your "capers" will taste if you open them in a few weeks and try them.
