@Folk Aart Science was founded by Christians. The greatest scientific minds in history were Christians. Newton, Galileo, Copernicus etc. I am a Christian and I love science! It was atheists who hijacked science and turned it into their god.
Watch these videos and see how many competent and reasonable scientists have allowed the science they studied for years lead them to rational conclusions about our universe and it's origin. I say we teach both evolution and intelligent design to our children as possible explanations of origins and let the next generations make their own decisions based on the shared scientific evidence.
In the end both paradigms are untestable and unobserved, so it all comes down to how we interpret the evidence.
Years ago, the question "Could God have designed all life on earth was not a scientific question because the answers could not be pursued using the scientific method of mathematics and experiment. So at the time only naturalism was scientific, because only naturalism could be pursued by the scientific method of mathematics and experiment.
But today we understand the mechanism of the design of life on earth is goal oriented cognitive forethought genetic software; this mechanism is mindfull, and we can use the scientific method now of mathematics and digital modeling experiments, to reverse engineer and edit the original genomic algorithms.
The reason then, why the Evolution only science paradigm is in our schools today is that it is just a legacy from time past, when only naturalism could be pursued using mathematics and experiment, making only naturalism scientific.
But today, theorizing the existence of a cosmic intelligence/ mind is scientific, because the algorithms of the genetic software are by definition mindful. And the genetic software can be analysed now using the scientific method of mathematics and experiment. Biology is now the Life Software science of searching out the original methods and algorithms used, to design all life on earth.

Billions of years ago there was this species called Betlog. They look nothing like the bees of today but they played a very important part propagating most of the species that we know of.Betlog does not need flowers in general but they however scratch their body to the somehow rought surface of the ancient plant like things to clean it self and then the surface of the plant where the Betlog rubbed its body to produces this sap like liguid that Betlog eat. At the same time, Betlog produce this honey like syrup that drips from its sting and the plants that these Betlogs passed by or where these Betlogs lived somehow adapted to the protein from the liquid dripping from the sting of these Betlogs and then these plants started adapting or evolving. To make the story short, these plants started to evolve because of these Betlogs and then they started producing flowers and then in return, these Belogs started to adapt to its environment and found it easier to feed on the nectar from these evolving flowers and that is how the Betlog started loving the flowers and that is how the relationship began. Now, Betlogs decendants love sticking their faces to their favorite flowers and sting who they can sting.

I thank God for Is Genesis History. It has helped me so much in my apologetic argument. The Key is the minds, the people you bring to this discussion. One of the things that I am praying for and I desire Christians to pray for is that God in His mercies will give to a brilliant mind understanding as to the dating of the earth, rocks, and such. I understand it is an open system, I understand that God can place stars with their beams of light in place, I understand the "made old" but I believe there is something that we are missing, once we receive this gift, this mercy toward our understanding, 300-year-old paradigms will crumble even faster than they are. May all the glory be to Christ Jesus.
He is taking His sweet time in providing this gift. I am not sure that the answer is to pray harder.

For naturalism not only does not have complete answers but Dawkins is quoted as saying, "it is exciting because it is mysterious" Before the beginning, science says we need not go there; Abiogenesis has run away from science, single cell to multicell is baffling. Creature as plentiful as insects have no history to how they came to be. People look for reasons to run from God.
Naturalism does not require complete answers, just the avoidance of magic unless there is evidence for some. Science does not say that and no, no, no, maybe, but that has nothing to do with science.

First of all evolution is not run by randomness it is by natural selection. If you think that someone just sat down and thought up the next computer improvement and the next and the next purely by brain power no. There were a lot of problems, trial and error, dead ends along the way. When something worked it was built upon, things that worked poorly were discarded. A fantastic design might not end up succeeding where a less elegant one prevails because it works better. The light bulb was invented, someone noticed a wire with a lot of current going through it gave off light before it melted or broke. Edison gathered up all kinds of materials kind of at random but then tried them out until there was a survivor. For people the driving force is things that are of use to us, for nature it is survival. For both there is randomness for both there is also a force called progress also at work.
At 15min, I could not agree more and say amen. Evolutionary theory has just has not been challenged by great minds to the degree it is today with the boldness that it is today. Praise God! I agree as well, it has run its course. This does not mean that people will rush to God but does mean great considerations must be made to the paradigm they hold to.
It is and always has been challenged. It has not been dented, debunked, disproven nor discredited.
It has a strong evidence base, the Theory unites all of Biology and it works.
@@ozowen There is a process of adaptation built into organisms, put there by God that allows for change over time and I have no problem calling that evolution. We can also think of it as all things related to "breeding". Genetically superior forms, within kind, absolutely play a role in what is produced for offspring. 150 years ago, as science began to show evidence for form evolution using similar vertebrate forms as the transition of one kind to another kind, they were and are using false assumptions of like forms, but the world fell for it. All fell for what atheists protest against, looking at design in forms to line creatures up, "this one is before this one" when they have no idea as they were not there to witness this change. So what is said? "We have the fossil record!" Ok, please show us the transition of forms for any invertebrate, such as our nearly 1 billion insect types, and other forms that makeup 99.9% of the fossil record? "Oh, the fossil record is not a good place to look for those types of transitions. Evolutionists, themselves are questioning as these issues are raised and pressed. Abiogenesis is not a gap to jam in God it is everything. As we learn more and more about single-cell complexity, abiogenesis runs away from science.
Science now believes there was a beginning, and so do Christians. Science has no explanation of how Earth is so finely tuned and sustained, Christians know that God is the creator and sustainer of all things. Science has NO explanation, which makes any sense for the amount of water on our planet, the bible tells us God made the water. Science has no abiogenesis, Christians have creation, that Jesus is the One in whom there is life. It is time for everyone to drop our hands, drop to our knees and praise God for our Lord Jesus Christ, the only savior of mankind.

The fossil record remains an excellent showcase for evolution. It is incomplete and always will be. But it is always about evolution.
The fact that science shows it is incomplete changes nothing. It is always a robust tale of evolution.
And genomes confirm this.

Science does say there was a beginning. It was many billions of years before the Earth existed.
Life had a beginning as well. It was primordial, primitive and not likely a lot like even the simplest life we have now. Born in the violence of an early Earth.

The proponent points to the fossil record for a vertebrate line up of forms but when it comes to exoskeleton creatures, which make great fossils, produced hundreds or even thousands of offspring at one time; fruit flys themselves being used in mutation experiments; how many trillions of examples do you believe there have been since your believed beginning, but science CANNOT show ONE transitional form of an insect, crab, spider and such? There should be millions of pre-ant, pre-bee and so forth. For your own knowledge tackle that first.
As I said it would be said, you replied, "the fossil record will never be complete". It is more complete than the layperson believes it to be. Is everything dug up, no but paleontologists pretty much know what they will find (bulk) when they go out to dig. From the point of view, are we going to fill in all the dotted lines of the phylum tree, no as it never existed? That is the point. The genome just shows God used all the same materials, the same manner of cellular life, which the bible states, to create all of life and many of God's same designs, lines are found in both plant and animal. I, a believer in Christ, do understand there is a process that I am ok with it being called evolution but it is not by that magic word "chance". It is not the explanation for "all", this is where the argument is; there is not any creature that is self-guided to the point where a base creature form is shown to become fishes, amphibians and reptiles, and on and on. It is all assumed and they are all missing! You might take the few vertebrate known forms and line them up, but it does not mean that it happened. Observed "designs" are grouped together, that is what humans do! The world for the last 150 years has been sold this, in this many Christians are no different, they are no more right but have also been fooled. Darwinian evolution is one of the evil one's greatest works, it is a mix of truth and lie, which is the best lie. It is changing.

The genome does not demonstrate a common designer, unless you wish to note the designer's incompetence.
All primates have the genes, the capacity to synthesize Vit C. But the genes are switched off.
We have viral markers, viruses turned off now, it shared across species. We share a dozen with chimpanzees and bonobos.
We share more with other apes, and more again with other primates. Peeling off in a way that matches the fossil record.
We share genes for a tail. Why?
Occasionally they get switched on and a human baby gets a tail.

It is written "GOD can measure the entire universe w/the span of His Hand" & these toys man has invented (from what was created by Him) still can not measure the expanse of what HE holds together by "The power of HIS Word". We have a Philosopher who knows something about Biology discussing the shortcomings of the relatively new 'science' of digital computers, and inferring that because computers need a designer so does the totally unrelated idea of DNA, and cellular construction. It dropped into farce when the cooling needs of a supercomputer were compared to the human brain .
The discussion then went on to ignore all progress made in understanding the process of evolution since the days of Darwin, and to only discuss the theoretical problems. Even the example about a failed DNA experiment ignores the research that shows that DNA is not in itself the basis for life, but has a simpler precursor.
It is so much easier to claim that 'God' did it, a solution that throws up many more questions than answers.

Link that to the extremely poor design of so many parts of so many animals and I can only suggest that 'intelligent design' is a failed theory.

When people are asking themselves why God doesn't come personally on the earth for they to believe in Him, He does not come because He knows that even if He would come, they still would not believe. If you really want to find God, go and understand simple principles and then come and ask about God. Even if there is an intelligent designer, that still doesn't mean he is a feeling or caring one. His designs for life indicate he's either apathetic or downright cruel. At best, we seem to be just part of his science experiment.

You try to force your answer on people, to take the place of God. None of us know exactly how we came to be and I am waiting for the Creator to tell me, not you. I was born "Imperfect" intersex and most of the pain I have suffered has come from Christians who meant to harm me.
How can you say that when you have not even heard what he has to say? Yes, I know where we came from and you used 2 words to describe Him. God and Creator. How do you find Him. He says that if you search for Him with your whole heart, you will find Him. Christians do not hurt you because Jesus said that those who follow Him love others. Mr. Brown I am sorry if Christians have hurt you. Our God is a God of love and kindness and forgiveness and grace and self sacrifice. That is how people are drawn to him. Imperfect followers don't always do a good job following His example. But these people are telling you the truth, and I hope you will at least listen to them. God is the best explanation for why things exist. Out of nothing, nothing comes. You have to give it a chance and think it through. God is the best explanation for fine tuning of this earth for life, and also for morality. Please listen to the rationale of these scholars who wholeheartedly care about your destiny. Is the fact that you were born 'imperfect' intersex (your words) better understood as a factor of how evolution works, than blaming it on a non existent God? Throughout ALL of the Animal, and plant, world there are recurring examples of ongoing changes in the reproduction of its children. There are numerous examples of animals not breeding true to type, sometimes we made use of that factor to give us better milk cows, or more grains on an ear of wheat. Sometimes the variation is not 'useful' or self sustaining, I have seen cows born with to heads, cats with extra paws, etc.
It is all part of natural selection and the ultimate long term progress made in the working of beings, be they animal or vegetable, etc.
I am sorry that you have suffered pain from self professing Christians, you are as worthy as anyone. Live life, enjoy life, it's the only one any of us get.

Paul Nelson is a creationist philosopher, same as William Lane Craig, who has no background in science whatsoever and his incompetence on every subject is staggering throughout this video. Grown-ups believe that magic is real.. pathetic.
Fun fact: Nelson was a cast member in the 2017 creationist documentary film Is Genesis History? After the film's release, he published an article stating that the film distorted his arguments and presented "a false dichotomy" between naturalistic evolution and young Earth creationism while omitting other viewpoints.
William Lane Criag knows more about science than most scientists do. Issac Newton who discovered physics, was a Christian.
