These are the people who deserves to be called INFLUENCERS! People who show the real side to life and show it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. So many people hide stuff like this but videos like this one’s really shows realness and it’s amazing! The first trimester can be so so rough for people (I also suffered so bad but everyone I spoke to that hadn’t been through it thought I was being dramatic) but this video will help so many people who are going through it too ❤

Oh Carys, I just want to give you the biggest hug right now. Thank you for sharing such vulnerable moments with us, please never apologize for your emotions, they are so valid, just as you remind us always. I’m so sorry you had so many tests during your first trimester, but you handled it like a champ. We are so proud of you. It’s so wild how much love you can feel for someone you have never met. One of the rare but most special opportunities to come from social media. I cried right along with you when you described Amber coming into the bathroom as you were getting sick. Not even a mom at all but really appreciate you sharing your experiences. ❤

I am 25 weeks pregnant and due in December. Last time, you were pregnant with amber , I remember following your journey throughout and it literally gave me a baby fever. I am so glad we’re pregnant at same time this time. Now having said that, i had a terrible first trimester. I felt sick, nauseous, sleepy all the time. I was overwhelmed with all the emotions and this is my rainbow baby and i had horrible anxiety and really wanted to get through first trimester safely. Now , the anxiety has subsided but it definitely hasn’t gone and won’t go away until i get to hold my little bub in arms. I feel nobody can prepare you how pregnancy works, it’s so different for everyone yet similar. Wishing you healthy pregnancy and can’t wait to meet your little one ♥️✨🧿

Thank you so much for this. Thank you for showing the real and raw side of what you have been going through with your pregnancy. I often see other vloggers making pregnancy seem like such an easy and natural thing, which often creates this unrealistic pressure to other expecting mothers that they should be acting and feeling the same way. When in reality growing a baby is hard and will take a huge toll on a body.
So thank you, thank you, thank you for being so real.
Plus you are glowing so much. It's bitter sweet, enduring and accepting how tough it is kind of makes you appreciate the process more I think.
Thanks for being a great role model on social media.

Needed this so so much. Currently 11 weeks and it has been SO hard. Sickness, migraines... its been a lot. After struggling with infertility I felt so guilty for feeling so shit but you know what. It is what it is. It is shit and I'm allowed to feel upset about how I physically feel, even if I'm thrilled to be pregnant

    • @invisibleghost85

Iv been there it will get easier I had IVF to get pregnant and the 1st trimester was torture its easy for ppl to try and guilt you into feeling happy 24/7 but its rough all worth it in the end but bloody hard x

    • @LHMLHW
      @LHMLHW 2 года назад +3

Girl don't ever feel guilty. You are allowed to not love the physical effects of pregnancy and meanwhile still absolutely love and adore your baby. I have a five month old just now and the most annoying comment I ever got during pregnancy was to "enjoy it". The reality was I hated it. Third trimester I was knackered, hormonal (felt angry at everything), my digestive system was all out of sorts and I had a pile the size of a cherry tomato. The best thing about pregnancy was giving birth! I took comfort in the things I did enjoy - looking at the scan photos, seeing the bump progress from photo to photo and my partners delight at feeling baby kick. But the rest I complained about constantly and if ever anyone wanted to do the same during their pregnancy I'm an open ear ready to listen!

I’ll be 9 weeks Saturday, and I needed every bit of this vlog. I’m high risk due to a large sub chorionic hemorrhage, so I was put on bed rest at 6 weeks and am struggling so hard not being able to live life normally right now. I know it’s not the same struggle, but it just goes to show how hard pregnancy truly can be for everyone in different ways. I’m so grateful you choose to share your life and in a real way at that. You've probably heard it a million times over, but please remember that this is a good reason for feeling unwell, and there's a little bean at the end of it that will forever appreciate what his or her Mama did for them.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this video - I have been so sad and devastated with the constant nausea and vomiting because of everything I've wanted for pregnancy, and your experience has made me feel so comforted and not alone!! My husband is amazing in caring for me, but there is something so calming listening to someone else literally verbalize exactly how I've been feeling when I sometimes can't say it myself. Cried the whole time because of how much empathy I felt towards you and then can experience for myself. THANK YOU

Not everyone is debilitated or controlled by it but it really causes anxiety around sick and nausea and I can’t tell you really found it tough!! I throw up often from anxiety and I just take it as it comes it is whag it is. You laugh, you cry, you don’t react, you panic etc it doesn’t matter you’re emotions are valid!! Anxiety is horrible and emetophobia is a form of it!! Sending you love xx

i have a level of Emetophobia and it’s one of the things i’m most anxious about when i eventually come to have kids. Seeing someone who is just as terrified at being sick as me, get through it, helps soo much. such an amazing thing to share! just wanted to let you know how much this will help people! lots of love xx

I had hyperemesis gravidarum in both pregnancies, but magnified by a billion times in my second pregnancy..I was LITERALLY exactly how u were in this video, plus dehydrated from being sick all the time and breastfeeding my first daughter at the same time..it can only be described as the most challenging time in my life. If it weren't for my husband holding the Fort down, my mum guilt over my first daughter would've made me an emotional wreck the entire 9 months (who are we kidding, I was anyway lol). All I can say..is hang in there. This too shall pass. And soon you'll hold your second little bundle of joy and it will all be worth it. I truly mean that. The best way past the hill is over it.

Have just caught up on this, what a lovely little diary-vlog, it's gorgeous. I remember when I was pregnant with my second almost 3 years ago now, and my first was 3, so a little older than Amber and he understood that there was a baby in my tummy. I had awful sickness with my second pregnancy and I remember him coming running after me and rubbing my back and saying "aww silly baby in mummy's tummy, it's okay mummy" and there is something wonderfully comforting having your child with you xxx thinking of you and glad you're starting to feel a bit more human xx

Honestly this is such a true picture of pregnancy first trimester. From 5 weeks I was sick all day, everyday, at the start I couldn’t leave my bedroom as the smell of my downstairs was a trigger to me but then my partner pushed me to go downstairs in the end. I cried everyday because I couldn’t do anything, I couldn’t leave the house, couldn’t walk to the bathroom without being sick! At around 14/15 weeks I cried to my partner and was saying I’m sure it’s all in my head now and I know I need to snap out of this as I knew it was affecting me mentally - the day after I woke up and literally snapped out of it. I’m 18 weeks now, still sick in the morning when I get up and have the day of feeling crap l. I could relate to this SO MUCH!! X

Oh my Carys, you bring all the down to earth vibes. I struggled with sickness in my first pregnancy till 24 weeks, my daughter is two days younger than Amber and I’m so nervous with being pregnant again and how different it will be looking after another little human at the same time! You’re so strong! Sending love 💕

it doesnt matter how severe the sickness it just sucks, it was so sweet you talking abt it after you mentioned your friend having to get medication for it cause i did too, i suffered from 6 weeks right through till 12th week first day, then would come and go as pressure in my third trimester, i went to emergency triage maybe 2-3 times in first trimester from how dehydrated and sick i was, and all i can say is no matter who you are, how intense it is, your feelings are valid we are all the same just because ones is worse somewhere in the world doesnt mean that what your going through isnt incredible defficult for you to get through too. it was so extreme for me i swore my first baby would be my last, she just had her first birthday and you do forget just how much you went through, it takes everything in you day in day out and to anyone who has done it takes balls to know your in this commited journey but still put your head up, calm your nerves and get through it day by day. After experiencing my daughter for this first year i would proudly do it again with all the obsticles it comes with. i used to watch you when i was pregnant with her amber was still so little and ive just came back yesturday to find the sweetest thing that youse are pregnant again!!! it gives me hope for my second that you can get through anything even if its the same or worse that its the bigger picture, and were okay to cry and be annoyed at things but at least we can do it together. im really glad you posted something so real because the journey is beautiful for sure and overcoming so many things but doesnt mean its picture perfect and the most comfortable enjoyable thing. i have alot to catch up on with videos but i hope youve had the best second pregnancy you can and cant wait to see her and for 3 to become 4 xxx

Currently 35 weeks with my first 💙 and suffered with hypermesis from week 6 until about 20 weeks! Already wondering what I will be like if I had a second child and the anxiety of the sickness is just something I can’t comprehend, and will likely need to try and get on meds as early as possible - so important to share the not so glamorous, mentally draining side of this journey 💕 xxx

I'm 21 weeks pregnant right now and the first trimester was rough. I had horrible nausea for close to 4 weeks then j was exhausted for the entire time. My husband caught me sleeping all the time. Never feel bad about telling us how you are feeling, I would have loved to have a friend to talk to during it.

YOU are amazing Carys. Thank you so much for this, it’s so needed. Women are incredible and we can be put through so much which really, is barely talked about. Before I had my 2 kids, I had no idea I could go through so many things. I think we often feel so guilty to feel a certain way because it is a rarity that we can see other women going through it too. You’re a breath of fresh air. Hope you’re feeling more yourself now 🥰💛

I hope you see this but I’ve just watched all this I am currently 14 weeks with my third baby & I this was exactly me, word for word I’ve been exactly the same! Mum guilt is the worst when your pregnant, I’ve been soo poorly & my tiredness has just been overwhelming! I gag/heave all day long, the last week I seemed to have turned a corner. We planned this baby but my gosh have I hated the first trimester I am soo glad you’ve been so honest it’s really nice to finally be able to relate to someone because like you say you only see the good bits online & there’s nothing about the reality of how it actually makes you feel! Thank you! ❤❤❤

Oh Carys. I can totally relate. I was sick with both my pregnancies from 6 weeks to 9 months and a day after delivery. I ended up on tablets. The really good part about it is my consultant told me it means the hormone level is high so baby is doing great. I used travel bands that helped on the pressure points and ginger. I loathe being sick and totally panic so your not alone. Try not to be so hard on yourself, your body is making a new human and it takes it out if you. Just rest when you need and sleep when you need it will eventually pass. Lots of love and prayers.

I've never been pregnant (yet) but I do suffer from emetophobia (I have my whole life) and it is something I am very much afraid of for when we do plan to have children. And while talking about it does make me anxious, I also find it quite comforting seeing you talk about experiencing it and surviving it. This video is so beautiful and real. Sending you so much love for the rest of your pregnancy ans doe your family 💕💕 thank you so much for being willing to be raw and real with us. It's so helpful💕💕

I feel the exact same in my first trimester - the smells. My house, the furniture, perfumes I liked, my older child's smell too, my dog when she'd been outside etc. It was awful. Even a theme song from a show my daughter loved at the time would turn my stomach! Thank you for sharing this raw vlog because its not a walk in the park, its hard! It'll be a distant memory one day ❤ its a lot to do with hormones but also in the first trimester there's no placenta, so baby takes everything it needs to grow (think of how much it changes in those first 12 weeks) and all its nutrients directly from us mamas! So we feel drained because it's literally draining and it's meant to stop when the placenta is working because then the nutrients come/go through it. Hope you're keeping well now lovely and congrats again!

I'm 12 weeks this week...last week I balled my eyes out to my partner in the car as we drove to his family for a dinner because I was fed up of puking. I hate puking. I actually think pregnancy has made me fearful of being sick. Before pregnancy i didnt suffer from anything like heart burn but since falling pregnant if i dont battle the nausea and vomiting then im battling the fire in my throat from the indigestion...bloody hormones....But then I wouldn't change anything in the world. I'm now on tablets from the Dr's for my nausea and now all I do is sleep throughout the day 🤣 much much better! ❤ thankyou for being so open and honest during this video it's made me feel so much better! Xxx

You’re absolutely incredible Carys. I was one of those people that didn’t REALLY feel pregnant after I was about 10 weeks but the exhaustion and food aversions were insane. I couldn’t look at any meat, let alone eat it. The thought of raw chicken in a frying pan made me want to pass out 😂 and the fact that I could never get enough sleep was difficult. But 11 weeks plus I didn’t feel pregnant at all I loved being pregnant and until 36 weeks I didn’t struggle. Very very lucky.
Hope you don’t take this the wrong way but you’re so lucky that you work from home. Having to get my arse out of bed at 6am to be in an office all day with people’s lunches and needing to be ‘on’ for clients etc was such a struggle. BUT I understand you’d have your own daytime routines which will have suffered also so I hope you understand where I’m coming from.
You’re smashing it though, angel. Amber is genuinely so lucky to have such a caring and attentive mum (James you’re amazing also 😅😘) and second baby is going to be just as lucky.
    Much love xxxxx.
