Your comments really struck my heart. I retired as a nurse this year and got a job with British Airways so will be moving from 🇨🇦 to 🇬🇧 in 2 weeks. Exploring Europe (and the world) by myself will hopefully change my life in wonderful ways. The Hague is definitely on my list. Stay safe
Thanks for posting! My parents were born in the Netherlands. I have visited as a Child and later as a young Adult. That was 40 yrs ago. The Cousins, Aunts and Uncles would take us around the Country. Your views are so much different then what I experienced. I loved seeing the displays of food and all the flowers. Looking at all the buildings where the different Countries are represented, was very different from what I saw in The Hague. I need to go back and visit again, on my own! Also, thank you for allowing me a taste of my own heritage. As I get older and older, I get very little exposure to my Dutch Heritage. It was so nice "feeling" the Netherlands' culture again. Thank you! Eileen 🇨🇦, ♥️🇱🇺
I totally agree about traveling in Europe alone. I go with no real itinerary or plan and can enjoy things at my pace. I rarely even make hotel reservations ahead of time. It’s always an adventure and fun!
100% agree everyone needs to go alone to Europe! My best friend works for AA and I’m her companion so I got to non rev to Dublin back in February! It was amazing!
I love The Hague..yes there is a beach and downtown The Hague is FABULOUS…I hope you had a great time…actually the walk from the hotel to downtown on a nice day is wonderful…I think we share the same hotel at The Hague….also Hunter of you don’t know this you are allowed to bring fresh flowers just ask someone at the flower market to put a “US sticker” the declared the on your crew deck all they do is gently shake them for bugs and them they will let you take them home….p.s. you chat wrap a”hot” towel around the stems then during the flight put then by the doors so they will stay cool and you are good to go😁😁
Hunter this is a great video. I like that you went exploring. The weather was beautiful. You did a lot but it was all nice and quiet. Going to the beach was the icing on the cake. Marvelous that you are working back to USA on a 777. I’m sure it went well.
Hello Hunter. Thank you for sharing your vlog. I enjoyed watching it very much. You are right, whenever we go to a different country or even a new city, it is exciting to explore by ourselves. We can find wonderful and exciting things around. Always looking forward for your videos! Stay safe and have fun. Cheers.
I love to see how enthousiast you are about The Netherlands! I'm starting at KLM coming week, so if iI see you around IAH or AMS i'll defenitely say Hi!
Im retired flight attendant with major US carrier. In IAH we stayed at same hotel as KLM did. The crew arrived a few hours after we did, we sat in lobby relaxing and watched them arrive. The flight attendants were tall,in shape. And each of the was beautiful! Perfect! 😵😵
Great video! So glad you had the time to explore The Hague. I always look at any trip as who knows if I will have the opportunity to come back so I want to do it all while I'm there.
Hunter, that was one of your most well put together videos that I have ever seen! I have been watching you for years now and enjoyed all your videos but this one is up for an Academy Award!!!! Can't wait for the next one, and as always safe travels my friend ❤
What a stunning looking place. I remember exploring places like that alone when I worked on ships and you and your friend are correct. It’s a very gratifying experience.
I’m sure you’re pinching yourself. Last year flying with a US domestic carrier and now flying with one that has a long haul international network. Awesome 🛫
I’m glad you are having an amazing time with your new airline carrier. You are in an amazing part of Amsterdam. You fly safe. Happy Friday. Ciao. 2022.
I’ve found that 9 time out of 10 you can find something interesting in each city or town around the world (but I’m partial to The Netherlands because my grandfather still lives there)
Really enjoyed this video..My Grandma was born there so great seeing where she came from…Happy Hunter you are having a wonderful adventure on your travels..Hope John is having as much fun as you are ..keep safe …
Hunter, thank you for sharing this amazing trip! I'm with Roberta and don't think many Americans even know where The Hague is, let alone what it represents. I can only imagine that the wish tree was so emotional. Hopefully, one day you and John can visit there together. Luv ya Sweetie!
Good Morning Hunter, really enjoying all your videos - I was in Amsterdam a few years ago with my son - He choose to visit The Heineken Museum; I went for him but REALLY enjoyed it. Next time if you have the chance I really recommend it STAY SAFE
I am pondering to spend a few days in the Netherlands this summer, but there are so many other places I also want to see and I have been to Amsterdam numerous times in the past, so I may go somewhere else completely. Not sure yet. But I did just look up flights to BER for Nov/Dec on your airline, cuz they sent me an email reminding me I haven't flown with them in a while... Haha
I was in the Netherland 7 or 8 years ago and was surprised by how many places were cash only or wouldn't take American cards. Sounds like perhaps it hasn't changed a whole lot! Thanks for sharing your trip, looks like you had a great time.
What a great video and so glad you were in my parent’s home town of The Hague! I recognized everywhere you were as I go each year. Sadly, not since 2019 but I will be there in July. Loved you ate some Indonesian I see! Hope you come back again. I’m in the DC area now.
Hello there Hunter, you were very lucky to experience The Hague. I have a feeling if I asked 1 thousand people here in America where or what it is, they would not have a clue. Also you must call it The Hague not Hague as "The" is part of it's official name. Thank you for educating people on your travels. Yes at 9 minutes you started saying The Hague. I really enjoy your vlogs so very much, you mix fun with knowledge. Love to hubby.
Really enjoyed your video. I was in Amsterdam a couple years ago. The architecture in European countries is amazing. If you get a chance to go to Copenhagen, I fell in love with so much to see and do.
Nice one - the Hague is so much better than Amsterdam. And, thank goodness you are crew because Schiphol Airport has been suffering so badly with staff shortages and queues for security control extending outside the building😵💫
Such great opportunities for you!!...like the real world travelers, "I was in the Netherlands last week!" The Hague appeared very clean, no tagging on the buildings!! Has John been as fortunate as you with assigned trips?...thank you for sharing. Stay safe and healthy!!
“The Hague” known as the Washington, DC of the Netherlands. (Not a bad thing!) Personally I do not like Amsterdam but the other parts of the Netherlands are amazing
Yes, always have cash and also hope they take it. Sometimes it's even difficult to use the metro without a Dutch "PIN Card" (Maestro Debit Card). They do that to save on fees. 😬 I don't think they said aloha, they probably said Hallo 😉
Hey hunter! I’m an FA with AA and i watch your videos on my layovers 😂 Dude!!! I’m obsessed with those sunglasses! Can you tell me what style that is? Or send me a link? 🙏🏼
WOW nice trip!! That was a go one. Love all the embassies that was quite a few. And that peace ring loved that!! All the wishes for the Ukraine for sure the best thing ever!!! #Peace for the Ukraine #NO MORE WAR
What an excellent trip Hunter! you are right the breakfast looked unreal, especially the pancakes and croissants! do the Europe trips usually have senior crews or it depends?
Great vlog, Hunter. Getting to go to Amsterdam twice in two weeks, that's great. Thanks for the tip that we should carry cash. Do you know if they would take American cash?
Hi Dean, no you have to change in Euro's. Even lots of places in The Netherlands do not want cash Euro's anymore. Change at GWK exchange at Schiphol airport arrivinghal 1 (open at 07.00) or 3 open at 06.00. Bigger restaurants accept creditcards. Enjoy my beautiful country!
Hunter, that cute little town is where our government is, Den Haag.
Also near Den Haag is Wassenaar, that is where our royal family lives.

One of your best videos you have ever made!
Such a pleasure. Always so positive.
This is a great video. You are so lucky to have such a long layover! This is the perfect example of why we become flight attendants. You earned it
❤️❤️❤️

Great job 👏
I love traveling alone. No other way. Peaceful
Certainly beats working at Spirit.
I was in the Netherland 7 or 8 years ago and was surprised by how many places were cash only or wouldn't take American cards. Sounds like perhaps it hasn't changed a whole lot! Thanks for sharing your trip, looks like you had a great time.
It may have to do with fees and the AMX card has some of the very highest so a small family owned business might not be able to afford the fees.

Hi girl😊First to comment ❤
Hi!
no chance of finding your airpods?
you were eating Poffertjes!
Never underestimate the power of an European city. Did you bring a bouquet of tulips home? 🌷 🌷 🌷 🌷 🌷 🌷
You need to be careful eating the food from other countries alot of people end up getting sick with food poisoning
Europe is pretty safe
@@HunterLihas Europe? No third World Country 😂no need to worry 😂😂
Stacy, you are very wrong. There’s a whole world outside Dallas, if that’s where you are!
