I was playing Tales of Symphonia when I was 16 years old.. Watching this video feels like moving back in time and it's just crazy how fast you can run that game. Thank you for some kind of nostalgia. Greetings from Germany :)
My first run didn't even take me 30 hours but even with a MAXED out grade shop NORMAL mode and ONLY bosses fought that run STILL took me at LEAST 14 hours. Fighting Sylph WITHOUT both Raine and Kratos in the party is pure Suicide without both you won't even last for 10 seconds on a FIRST run against them on NORMAL mode at all.
@@veghesther3204 To be fair I was only like 6 years old at the time and it was the first jrpg I ever played haha. I’m also a completionist that just generally takes things slow and tries to do everything possible.
@@JayMota16 WE believe in you :) you probably can go under 7h :D Where do you think you can buy time ? And also.. where did you learn to spell cancel ? (I have more than 2500h in this game and drill can't do it T.T i don't know what i'm failing :/ ) Thank you for still loving this game si much
it's incredible to finish this game so quickly me personally it's my favorite game and I finished it in 20 hours I already find it's not bad so congratulations in any case I subscribe to youtube and twitch it's largely deserved
Wow, i never knew that you can do a Different route after the osaka pass !!!! is this just for speed running or would you prefer it on a casual run also?
I do this path casually as well even without Spell Canceling. Speedruns just have the benefit of speed in general. Despite it being the canonical path it’s also called the hard path but It’s not even that much harder as long as you have a base understanding of the battle system
Hi. I'm a big symphonia player, but have played only a few times casually. Could you answer a question for me? I usually do the "normal" route, what i suppose the game intended for you to do. After the Ossa trail, you go to Luin and talk to a priest. I was curious what the purpose of this is and what it does for story progression. Edit: another question after watching more. How did Raine use summon wind? some odd ability swap?
Sorry for the late reply. You have to speak to the priest in Luin in order to advance the plot. you need the Tower of Mana Key and talking to the 2 priests prior makes the 3rd appear at the Balacruf Masoleum.
@@rusty132435 it’s a glitch called proxy. You can trick the game into having any character use anyone’s artes. I could even have Lloyd Summon Origin. I use Raine because her base Intelligence stat is immensely higher than Sheena’s. Also the way OverLimit works in the GC version Sheena will rarely enter OverLimit as it resets when a character dies as opposed to later revisions where the OverLimit tension will carry over even when using a life bottle.
@@JayMota16 Okay I made the block button is L1 and kept holding it and after 3rd or 6th hit I pressed spell then kept attacking again. So I'm asking is there a better handling way to make it easy for combo spell cancel combo that's my question and I'm using let's say it's a PS2 controller so do you follow now ? And thanks in advance.
@@magdysalah7986 Only advice I can give is you can buffer the spell to do a 1 frame cancel while you hold the block button. makes it much easier but you need a specific EX Skill set up to even allow for a spell to be used after a 6 hit from Zelos or Kratos.
saved the fate of both worlds in less than a work's day

My first playthrough of this game was 89 hours. I can’t believe it’s even possible to beat it this fast lol.
To be fair I couldn't believe it could be beaten this fast 11 years ago when I began speedrunning this.
Me too! 89 epic hours, but no finish the quest abyssion and it's my second time but in speedrun mode
