In 1985 still an RC i was riding my 1983 Yamaha Virago 920 to go fishing with my friend following me, going around a curve that went downhill to the target river i met a car coming uphill in the center of the road! I applied my rear brake but it pulled my rear to the left and I prayed Lord help me and pulled on the front brake lever and saw that car front bumper sparkle in the sunlight 5-6 inches from my front tire and something picked me up off the ground and rotated me as it pulled me out of the path of the car which I could witness went by in front of me...i lwas sideways to the road direction of travel and could ditinctly hear the car driver's girlfriend scream at him I told you to stay in your own lane. I was helmeted and leathered up fell downhill and rolled until I stopped. My friend was behind me snd was a witness to the entire thing. My bike had a turned out fork so I drug it to the guard rail and laid the front tire on it and kicked it straight and rode that bilke fishing and home again. Praise the Lord!!

It is amazing how much time it takes to complete forgiveness so that you can remember what happened to you and not feel the negative attitude you formerly had but then also see what a difference it can make in so many other aspects of your life. I had buried a couple of awful things that happened to me in my 16th year. In my 60's I finally decided I needed to forgive those who had hurt me even though I knew that they must already be in the grave. Then it occurred to me that forgiveness isn't always about the perpetrator but about you and your mental health. I can now talk about those experiences and not feel any anger. Also, I can counsel those who have never forgiven past hurts and explain how wonderfully my life changed by forgiving the past and enjoying the future!
