Nasty Nas is what he called himself before Nas. This was the name that he went by when he released Halftime on the Zebrahead Soundtrack. We need more Nas recommendations please!
It Ain't Hard To Tell next please. You guys might as well react to the entire illmatic album its only 9 songs and is considered the greatest hiphop album for a reason
Nas dropped this in 92 when he was 17/18 years old. Back then he went by Nasty Nas but he dropped the Nasty by the time he dropped his debut album Illmatic in 94.
"We were at Howard University for Homecoming. I saw 2Pac talking to some girls, and I handed him a Hennessy bottle. He kept reciting one of my rhymes off my first single over and over again - a song called "Halftime". "Cause when it’s my time to go, I wait for God with the .44." Tupac loved that line." -Nas
Nas been my 1st place fav since Illmatic. Y’all should do a reaction to a song call “Rob n Vic” by Onyx. Shit is deep….. And a similar thing happened to these cats grew up with back in the early 90s out here in my hometown right outside Boston. Shit hits home hard💯
Nas is the Goat period, I love seeing younger dudes go back and give legendary hip-hop artist love.... A little fact Nas was 17 when he wrote this album which is considered by many to be the greatest hip-hop album of all time.... Next track I recommend from Nas would be (No idea is original)🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love to see the younger generation pay homage to the vets of hip hop 💯 especially Nas cause I grew up listening to him💪🏾 1st album was the only to get 5 mic🎤 rating in hip hop magazine "The Source" 🗞️ whole album is a classic.💽 Another fly joint from the 1st album is "One Love"💯💪🏾 "Gave You Power" was off 2nd album. 💽 Another fly joint off joint from the 2nd album is "Take it in Blood" 💯💪🏾
Illmatic is one of the greatest albums all time, but not the only album to get 5 mics in the source. Tribe called quest (twice), de la soul, Ice cube, Eric B. and rakim, scarface, outkast, B.I.G, stillmatic, Lil kim, all got 5 mic albums.
HIP HOP'S 5OTH ANNIVERSARY THIS YEAR & I'M 49. I GREW UP HIP HOP. GLAD U GUYS REACTED & SHOWED THIS VIDEO. SURPRISED I NEVER SEEN IT TILL NOW. QUESTION: "WILL YOU EVER REACT TO FULL ALBUMS"? IF SO; NAS- "ILLMATIC" WOULD BE A GREAT START. TOP 5 CLASSIC!🗣🎤🔥
You have to dive deep into his catalog. Check out, "NY state of Mind", "Take it in Blood", "Life's a Bitch", Memory Lane", REwind, "The world is Yours", Street Disciple, If I ruled the Wrold, One Mic, Verbal Intercourse, and so many more. I may run out of words.
I like to think how it’s funny watching some kids nodding their heads with hoodies on oblivious as to why and seeing Nas sport the same look 30 years earlier. Nas took hip hop to whole new level. After vanilla ice and mc hammer made rap “cool” it took artist like wu tang and Nas to take back to the streets. I feel like the clothes they wore were symbolic of the streets and what they were representing. The hoodie and chains were a part of that. Not just the hoodie itself but how you wore it. It took on a new meaning imo. Idk just some thoughts
Love your reactions, you guys will be at 10k subs in no time. Check out You Must Learn by KRS One. Amazing song by the teacher. Hardly no one has a reaction to it.
Y'all really should react to DMX - Intro. Mike Tyson used to walk out with this song before entering the ring. It's arguebly the hardest intro of all times
Worth checking out Elzhi's "Elmatic' project. A great tribute of this whole album done with a live band reinventing the beats. Keeps the original vibe but done from a Detroit perspective.
Hands down one of my top 5 favorite hip hop videos of all time. The low budget/low-fi grainy texture of the imagery make this easily one of the grittiest nyc rap videos ever. The only thing that makes this video feel more like the 90s than the 70s is the fashion.Respect due for reacting to this!
If y'all like that, then you gonna like what Nas brings. NY State of Mind (1&2) Take it in Blood Get Down I Gave you Power Rewind Made you look (video) And the list goes on...
Ain't nothing like that ny shit my favorite type of rap then it goes to that dark 90s Memphis rap it really don't get any luv Yall gotta do some dark memphis rap 🔥
"Nas Will Prevail","Everything Is Real" & "On The Real"(Feat. Kamikaze,Akinyele & Cormega) from Nas 1991 Demo Tape "Live at the BBQ" - (Feat. Nas,Fatal & Large Professor) "Back to the Grill" - Mc Serch (Feat. Terror Squad)
Halftime is Nas' first single ever and it's hella dope, another good song to check out from New York is "Let Em' Have It L," by Big L. It's honestly his Best Song Ever Made in my opinion, it has his best bars and his last verse has shows off his best flow.
Fam where is that ( LA Leakers Ray Vaughn) Guaranteed to be one of the best rap sessions you'll 👂 hear in 2023. Ray Vaughn has more bars than a Snickers bar. I guarantee you won't regret it. PEACE ✌️..
Actually his first song he was on was called ...Live At The Barbecue....which was on Main sources album called Breaking Atoms...he had the dopest verse on that song
Just to correct you young Kings a little bit. Nas' introduction to the Hop Hop community came on a Main Source collab called "Live At The BBQ" where Nas had an ill verse and the illest line at that time"when i was 12 i went to hell for snuffin Jesus". Everyone wanted to know who he was after that. Halftime followed after that buzz.
"Nas Will Prevail" - Nas "Everything Is Real" - Nas "On The Real" - Nas (Feat. Kamikaze,Akinyele & Cormega) This tracks are from his 1991 Demo this will tell ya'll why Nas Deserved That Contract
Young Gods..."IT AIN'T HARD TO TELL"!!! THAT MUST BE NEXT...PURE CLASSIC...MICHEAL JACKSON SAMPLE, NO HOOK PURE POETRY...OFFICIALLY MADE HIM THE GREAT...

This was his first single but the first song we heard Nas on was “Live at the Barbecue” by Main Source. That is super producer Large Professor’s group. Check it out.✌🏾
Yo, much success to you young brothers for real, let me just give y'all a little bit of advice because I see your into music yourselves and I hear your dope intro, yo in the beginning of rao or hip hop etc, one of the main rules was to be original if you sounded like the next MC, it's was called BITTEN, this was a major NO NO !!! this is why early rappers all sounds different and unique, you didn't Nessarry have to be a lirectist, that didn't happen until RAKIM Came on the scene in 1986, but you had to be unique... And you dudes got it...I base that on the voice on your into keep doing your thing fam💯
I trip out how most of these channels that do these reactions to hip hop songs, claim to barely heard the song. And most of the people on the channel are in my same age range. Like damn, what music were you listening to growing up? Living under a rock? Or what’s the deal? Or maybe I was just fortunate enough to grow up in the Los Angeles area surrounded by Hip Hop and Punk culture at school and in my neighborhood
It Ain't Hard To Tell next please. You guys might as well react to the entire illmatic album its only 9 songs and is considered the greatest hiphop album for a reason

Halftime was the song that changed Eminem's whole entire perspective on rhyme schemes and flows that made him a godzilla today
The worlds intro to Nas was a song called “Live At The BBQ”. It’s a posse cut but he opens the song. That’s all I’ll say, just react to it 😎
