I don't know how he does it, but SK seems to write songs that are not only brilliant, but almost as if he's narrating that exact moment in my life. Happy to say I've met my musical idol multiple times here in the states. He is unequivocally the most underrated musician of our time.

I dunno why, but the "Keep God close everyday" thing just super-jumped out at me more than I would have expected. It's so out of his style, but somehow it fit so well.
I think that line is more about Jessie Bellette than SK - the song is for her.
