Nate I legitimately was having a existential crisis the other day about how Nintendo let Rare slip through the cracks and how that is the reason we are living in the timeline we are in.
@@thepsychomagus I mean, any method of utilizing Rare is better than what they utilized them for in the later half of the 360's lifespan/beginning of the Xbox One's lifespan (Rare almost exclusively was used to develop Kinect games).
Not liking JRPGs is one of the big reasons I prefer the Mega Drive/Genesis to SNES. It's really the only genre SNES objectively has the better games for.
Contrary to popular belief, Rare and Nintendo's relationship was never sunshine-and-rainbows. It was usually kind of rocky; exacerbated when Nintendo had Rare change Dinosaur Planet while it was late in development.
46:25 I played Castlevania Lament of Innocence on PS2 and it’s a decent 3D castlevania game. Although it is a bit heavy of the giant rooms because EXPLORATION, figuring out whip combos and figuring out exactly where I need to stand so I don’t screw up swinging from point to point.
I like it, how you call Konami a "regime", which is really accurate. There are many kinds of these regimes in the current video game industry, like ActiBlizz, EA, Ubisoft and even Nintendo.
I never had a Nintendo 64 until long after it was done and over. That is why I dont think of it like other Nintendo fans do. I had that SNES and that will always be my favorite console.
that country club catridge we have not sure how good the game is never tried that one we have it but when trying to retrieve all of the various game consoles from grandads house my stepdad forgot the controllers so we have an n64 with mariokart 64, goldeneye, ocarina and the country club golf game etc. but we have no way to play em I'm tbh against them being given to my neice as i'm convinced my sibling or her ex will likelyely flog them and last I checked an n64 is no longer for kids it's a collectible and kids break toys all the time and i'm not convinced my little neice would appreciate access to turok seeds of evil at a young age, I remember as young child turok scared me ...some of the latent fear still remained but in my late teens I managed to play 2 at a friends! No Amiibos and more free roam than ever but the same essence that made the series great with modern graphics but that same dark grittier feel!
The ps3 even outsold the far superior Xbox 360 because it had bluray Sony aren’t dumb they know how to market a console, since they’ve started I don’t think any of there competitors have got close to them (main consoles that is handhelds Sony for some reason refuse to market them properly like the vita could’ve been so much better than it was)
The Xbox systems in general had very bad mistakes. The first 2 are mostly known for the red ring of death that bricked 36% of all systems sold and Xbox 1 requiring to be online at all time, forcing players to either buy Wi-Fi or piggyback off a neighbors, was at best an inconvenience and at worst unplayable to some people. Do you really expect me to pay $60+ for Wi-Fi just to play your system a few hours a week? I work a full time job to afford that Wi-Fi plus online subscription plus console plus games. Yea a lot of money to throw down just play a few times a week.
How in God's name is L.O.Z O.O.T Nintendo's biggest mistake? out of all the other fuck ups they did before and after? I wanna know! EDIT: actually never mind, I think Scott was joking...maybe?
I feel like internet gamers go fucking ballistic over this generation. Saying one bad thing about the N64 or saying good things about the Sega Saturn will get you equal amounts of outrage on Twitter of people saying "nuh uh the N64 was flawless" or "nuh uh the Saturn was awful". Also, it's pretty funny that Scott tries to say the lack of games to play on N64 was a *good* thing because "PS1 owners had so many games that they didn't have much in common with each other" or some shit. Those are some REALLY thin straws to grasp at that stage.
I'm not sure how your comment is applicable to Scott's video when he literally says the N64 isn't his favorite (That would be the Gamecube) or the fact that he pointed out all of the problems and show how the PS1 is better....Did you even watch the video?

Yep. I dont think Microsoft will properly utilize Rare like Nintendo did.

The reason Scott didn’t talk much about Paper Mario because he doesn’t generally like RPGs
Heck, he did a Christmas episode talking about how he doesn't like them.
Funny enough breath of the wild was the first ever Zelda game he completed.

Not only did Nintendo let Rare slip, the company Rare eventually fell into barely did anything with them.

R.I.P Hudson Soft
We'll never get a good Beyblade Game again, but atleast they went out with Mario Party DS, the best mobile Mario Party
Hudson is owned by the Konami regime, which is responsible for purging many franchises of their own, such as PES, Metal Gear, Castlevania and Contra.

Yeah, making Castlevania 3D an easier alternative to Soulsbourne games is a fantastic idea that I don't trust with the current Konami regime at all.
