    Thank You!
I saw a key nuance left out. King of Sodom offered things for exchange of people. Seems like he was trying something tricky there.

Awesome video thank you! I have a question. In the Bible it says that Abram refused all the spoils of the war that Bera offered him because he didn’t want it to be said that the King of Sodom made him richZ but why did that matter to Abram?

Its hard to say for sure, but I suspect it was one of two reasons:
      (1) Abraham wanted God to receive the credit for making him successful. He didn't want to give a man an opportunity to steal credit that belonged to God.
Or, (2) It could have been that the king of Sodom had a reputation for holding things above people's heads. Abraham may have wanted to avoid being indebted to him.

Just a question. Do you sell a bundle of the study books?
Buying one by one gets expensive. I am looking for a more affordable way to keep up with you!! Please reply to my message. Thank you

*New sub* love this idea to do this type of Bible study. I don't have a group at my church to dive deep in the word like this so this is a fun way to read along with others reading the same thing.
I have a question.... I'm Not really familiar with the history during this time. I understand that the 4 alliance (Amraphel, Arioch, Kedorlamer, Tidal), would go through cities and seize goods and food I'm guessing to be feared respected and rich by taking from others ppl, but what was the point of them STEALING PPL ( Ie kidnapping Lot). I don't get the reason for kidnapping?. Were they making random free ppl slaves or using them to fight battles by force, or as random for leverage?
Also Melchizedek was given a 10th of the spoils of victory. Why was a normal man given a 10th.

the “when” numbers are curious: b.1996, d.1821; events between 1921 and 1896. Almost looks like a numbers swap.

With BC dates the number is counting towards 1 AD. For example 1000 BCis earlier than 999 BC. Once we get to AD the numbers start counting up like they do with today's dates.
